Pythagorean Theorem.  Named after the Greek mathematician Pythagoras, the theorem states that A2 + B2 = C2 in a right triangle where A and B are the lengths of the legs forming the right angle , and C is the length of the hypotenuse, the leg opposite the right angle.  You may be right, Pythagoras --- But everybody will laugh if you call it a "hypotenuse"!
