I don't put up with your Star Track, an' your Babylon 9, an' your Yoda voicemail greeting, but this spit just got outta control. I'ma go get Pookie an' Big Oatmeal an' the rest of the boys, an' we gonna have you an intervention. I didn't say I was going to buy one, or anything. Caption: I'm glad you're not mad at me, Lemont. Why would I be mad at you, Susan? You didn't make me accuse my girlfriend of cheating on me just because she had an innocent dinner with some other guy. Sure, you sent me the video and warned me it was too painful to watch, so I sprung it on her sight-unseen and it turned out to be nothing ... and sure, you forgot to tell me they didn't leave together or exchange numbers ... And sure, you almost single-handedly wrecked one of the best things to ever happen to me in my life ... Well, I'm just glad you're no mad, old buddy. And sure ...

Caption: I hope you don't mind if I don't spend this Thanksgiving with you and Clyde. That book agent I've been seeing wants to take me to Paris. Of course not. Why would I mind that we're not going to spend Thanksgiving together for the first time since we were six? Why would I mind that you're letting this perfect stranger come along and wreck our entire tradition? I don't mind at all. He is pretty perfect, now that you mention it.

Caption: Nobody could've known, back in 2003, that invading Iraq would be a bad idea. What're you talking about? Millions of people knew it. Millions of us. Millions of us said the reasons the Bush administration gave for invading sounded like flimsy nonsense. Not having WMDs was Saddam's plot to embarrass us. Daily Nutjob. Obama wet bed as child, covered it up. Goodnight Grandpa. Millions of us said it would cause a lot of unnecessary death, totally wreck the balance of power, cost us money we couldn't afford, create new enemies, and be a huge unmitigated disaster. It was entirely possible to know. Millions of us knew. General: Iraq would be stable if we had occupied it for only 75 more years. Well, nobody knew the people who knew were right to know what they knew. You know? No. ISIS destroys ancient ruins, erect statue of founding father Dick Cheney.

Caption: I keep thinking about those people who died or got hurt when that train derailed. Dr. Noodle. It's 2015. I'm ok with not having flying cars, or jetpacks, or moving sidewalks. M.A. But we should at least have trains and tracks that can't toss us off to our deaths now. The older I get, the less I expect. That's perfectly normal, Lemont.

Caption: All week, I've been thinking about the people who got hurt in that train crash. Of course. You ride the train all the time. It's natural to feel fear when you realize it could just as easily have been your train. Times like this make it hard to ignore that your very next trip home may lead to you never seeing your child again. M.A. It's not about me. It's about them It's about identifying with them. Empathy is the most selfish emotion there is.

Caption: How'd you feel when the government shut down. Excited. Say what? It's different. It's like when there's a big wreck on the freeway. It's awful, it's tragic. But at the same time, it's invigorating because it's out of the ordinary. We feel bad, but we're all secretly excited, because it reminds us we're living on the edge. This, right here, is why I never ask you for a ride.

Caption: Lionel's some kind of prodigy. He's only two and he's already multiplying and dividing. He asked me "What's five divided by seven," and I realized … I forgot how to do that. Admitting I didn’t know would've wrecked his image of me. So I said "Pancakes" and pretended to fall asleep.

Caption: I'm still trying to figure out why I spend the first year on health care instead of on jobs. After all, Bill Clinton did that, and it nearly wrecked his presidency. It's like I didn't learn from history. And for some reason, I waited until my political capital was almost gone before finally introducing the jobs bill. He really needs to work on his campaign ads. Obama 2012: Better late than never.

Caption: You know why the economy's wrecked? Uncertainty. Businesses aren't hiring because of all these threats of regulation. I don't blame them. I wouldn't hire anyone either with all these threats of regulation. Threats make them uncertain. Only one way to end all this uncertainty. Carry out the threats? Ok, two ways...
