Caption: Life on earth was simple and stupid until suddenly complex life exploded all over the planet during the Cambrian period. At about the same time, Venus was probably habitable. One theory is a huge asteroid smacked into Venus, blasting life out into space. Months later, that life fell down to earth and ipso facto that's why you and I are here. The "big smack" theory is gaining widespread acceptance. Really? As in peer-reviewed studies? No, as in "likes" on the "big smack" video I posted on Youtube.

Caption: Sci-Fi Museum. New Exhibit. H.G. Wells War of the Worlds. In 1938, Orson Welles broadcast "War of the Worlds," a radio drama about aliens from Mars invading earth. The radio drama was presented as a series of fake news reports about devastation caused by the invading aliens. Many listeners turned in to the program mid-roadcast and thought the news reports were real. Widespread panic ensued. Wow! Orson Welles caused all that panic with a radio program. Just imagine what he could have done with Twitter!

Caption: This just in, a recent study shows that the average American is unable to save any money. Because of the rising cost of living, widespread unemployment and the loss of high-paying blue collar jobs Americans are spending all their after-tax income and even going into debt, just to get by. In short, the average American is unable to set aside any money. In unrelated news, the President's health care plan is to have people set aside money each month to pay for their health care.
