Caption: It turns out celiac disease is thousands of years old. Yet I still never heard about "gluten" till recently. What do you think that means, Randy? It obviously means big wheat has some explaining to do. They must've altered the grains. I don't know. Maybe it's because our environment has gotten cleaner. So since our antibodies haven't had to work as hard, they've gotten weaker. HOJ. If there's one thing you'd know about, little buddy, it's atrophy. We should have our own science show.

Caption: Can I help you, Sadie? Why do you ask? For one thing, it's polite. For another … you've been staring at me for five minutes. What … as if I'm studying you, probing for any weakness I can exploit if I ever decide to emasculate you or publicly humiliate you? I hate when Rudy's late to work. You're an almost-adequate stand-in.

Caption: "Young Justice" got renewed for a third season! What's that? It's a cartoon about a bunch of superhero sidekicks, like Robin and Kid Flash. They start off in the shadows of the more famous heroes, but they quickly show that they're every bit as cools as the bigger, stronger heroes. I think I can tell why that show appeals to you, little buddy. Does your cup feel heavy? My cup feels heavy.

Caption: Mort, I'm writing a case study about two diametrically opposed archetypes of your generation. Archetype number one: A bold, debonaire male … the type that suffered no fools, lived life to the fullest, and pursued romance with tough, smart "dames" who kept him on his toes. And then there's archetype number two: Weak, insecure, afraid of life, and dominated by overbearing romantic partners who brought him to his knees. Ok. I'll participate. Who'd you find for archetype #2? You might want to ask Sadie if she'll let you participate, first.

Caption: Today on the Ask Sadie Show, we'll be addressing one single topic: our solar system's newly discovered planet. Specifically, we'll be talking about how for years, conspiracy nuts have been saying the scientific community was hiding a whole planet, for some reason, and would never confirm "Planet X's" existence. Not a single one of you freaks has admitted you were wrong. Well done. Never admit that your suspicions about people were in error. Acknowledging that someone has proven you wrong about them is a sign of weakness.

Caption: This just in: A deadly new disease called "turkey leprosy" is threatening to ruin this year's holiday season. Symptoms include numbness in the feet, muscle weakness after working out, and potentially disfiguring dandruff. Sadie M. Cohen, the worlds foremost expert on turkey leprosy, issues the following statement from her front lawn. "You are all ignoramuses. There will be no further comment." What did she mean by that, Harvey? Good question. Let's discuss that for a few days.

Caption: Caller, let me stop you right there. Your problem is you're a doormat! You need to march right back in there and tell him you don’t take orders from any man, and if he wants dinner he can fix it himself. You don’t think Denny's would fire me for that? NO FREE ADVERTISING!!! The Denny's at 9287 Bushmill Road, I mean.

Caption: People shouldn’t have names till they're 30. What? Why? Because a lot of people end up with names that are either weaker or stronger than they are. I used to work out with a 7-foot, muscle-bound mercenary who wrestled killer whales and ate beer cans. His name was "Melvin Q. Littleman. "Was"? Sometimes you get the whale, sometimes the whale gets you.

Caption: Ask Sadie. Dear Sadie, How come there never seems to be any penalty for pundits who turn out to be wrong all the time? - Andy, Los Angeles. Actual reader question. Excellent question. Unfortunately, answering that question would lead to a stock market collapse ... Which would be just the sign of weakness that the Dutch have been looking for. I'll answer you if you really want to wake up to the sound of 500,000 clogs bearing down on you. Ask Sadie questions at asksadie@rudypark.com.
