Caption: We need to do an intervention for Rudy. Oh dear. Is he using drugs? Is it coca leaves? Or snuff? Morphine? I knew a guy who did sodium rhodanate in the '30s. Terrible! It's apps. Rudy's addicted to virtual iPhone apps! I am so behind and will never catch up.

Caption: Ask Sadie. Dear Sadie, I'm going on a raw food diet. What kind of diet do you recommend? You rock my world, girl! - John in Portland, Oregon. That's the grossest thing I've ever heard. How so? He's going to eat naked?! Maybe if he has a body like mine it would be okay, but ... stop. That's not what he means by raw. Explain, nerdy sidekick. According to Wikipedia, it's mostly a vegan diet. Wikipedia? Crowd-sourced virtual encyclopedia. I don't understand anything being said today!! Rock my world is good or bad? Opportunity here to really ruin her day. Ask Sadie (and maybe get answers) at asksadieshow@gmail.com.

Caption: Generation-I. Generation-V. What're you old folks doing? Renaming your generation. I'm thinking Generation I - 'cause you're living virtual lives. Where'd he go? Got bored after 10 seconds and left to send an instant message to someone across the room.

Caption: Two words, boss: Virtual reality. We glue virtual reality goggles to our coffee mugs. Come again? When patrons sip their Himalayan mochas, they'll think they're dangling from a cliff in the Himalayan mountains. People will come from Miles around! People will throw up for miles around. We'll give patrons mops that double as virtual reality hockey sticks. This conversation is virtually over.

Caption: I've made up my mind. About what? About which virtual reality system to buy. I know what you're going to say: Get the Oculus Rift. That is not what I was going to say … and sure, "Oculus Rift" is a much cooler name than all the others. But Playstation VR would let me use the Playstation I already own. So I wouldn't have to buy anything new ... which is why I've ruled out the Playstation VR. Ugh! The thought of not buying new ... it burns! Not buying new would actually be new for you.

Caption: I keep reading all these stories about virtual reality nookie. It just sounds horrible. It takes all the best parts of it: Seeing someone for the first time … blushing at the thought of holding her hand … Working up the courage to approach her … seeing her pretend to answer her phone and talk so you won't say hello ... Maybe the technology would be good for some people ... taking five years to work up the courage to approach someone new ...

Caption: How come you never take any of my ideas seriously? I'm a marketing genius. I have a long track record of attracting business in both the residential and commercial sectors. What? When? Where? I've generated hundreds of billions of simoleans in the last 24 years. Wait ... Are you taking about Sim City"? Everything I touch turns to solid gold!

Caption: You're all smiles today, little buddy. What's up? The Hololens. What's a "Hololens"? Goggles that project holograms and computer interfaces on top of everyday things. Next time I'm sitting on a crowded bus and someone's rump is right in front of me, I can turn it into a tv screen. Or play solitaire on it. I've been waiting for this tech my whole life. Can I project smiles onto the grouchy?

Caption: Sometimes I wish I were a character in a video game. What? Why? Because they can run for miles, jump, tumble, spin, kick and punch, and never get out of breath. I can't run more than 100 feet without getting winded … and in civilization, you don't ever see an archer die of old age. Simulation-envy.

Caption: I haven't seen you look at your Me-phone for five whole minutes. What gives? It's not what you think. I'm still important. I still get alerts every few seconds that remind me and everyone around me that I have things going on. It's just that my phone's charging right now. I swear. Well, I'll help you out in the meantime ... Alert: Constant alerts don't make you a "somebody," you loser! Thanks. That helps.

Caption: Tired of having your intimate moments and in-person communications interrupted by cellphone calls and incoming texts? Great news from At-Mobile. If you get our True Friends calling plan, we GUARANTEE it will repair all your personal relationships! No longer will you be distracted with rings at inopportune moments or by an endless stream of virtual interruptions. Why? Because At-Mobile continues to have the WORST coverage in the wireless industry. With our service, you'll continue to not be able to get signals in all kinds of places, like your home and office, local cafes, even in your car. For $49.95, you can't afford not to have the wireless plan that lets you focus on the people who are right in front of you. Stop into our local retail store and check out the new no-coverage maps that show where our wireless signal is shoddier than anyone else in the business.
