Caption: I've decided to become a mystery writer. "Dark clouds filled the horizon as two young lovers walked along the shore. As if sensing something was about to happen, seabirds cautiously circled around the couple. Suddenly and without warning, the young man reached inside his jacket and pulled out a large bag of pretzels and began to feed the birds." I'm very proud of that opening. The story has just started and it's already filled with twists and terns.

Caption: Frank & Ernest explain cartoon magic! This week: perspective! Hello! Welcome to "Cartoon Magic"! You'll notice that Ernie appears to be some distance behind me! Hello, up there! And if you turn things around, I appear closer than Frank back there! That's right! We are using the illusion of perspective. By drawing Ernie much smaller than I am, her just looks farther away. And by drawing me much larger than Frank, I now appear to be closer. When you draw us normal size, we appear to be on the same plane. We hope you have enjoyed our explanation of perspective. The End. Well, I htink we pulled it off, guys. Thanks for your help. Any time at all!

Caption: Basketball. League Leaders. Team Standings. Ernie, in this list of reasons why the team should renew your contract, you don't mention that they went from first to last since you joined them. See where it says, "Single handedly turned team around." How about the fact that you're in terrible shape from so much coffee and doughnuts? "Leads the team in dunnking." And you're always playing tic-tac-toe when you're on the bench? See? ..."Always working on X's and O's when not playing"...And notice I don't even mention being of the cover of "Sports Illustrated".
