Caption: Hi, I'm Kevin McConnell. Welcome to "Fix Your House." Squeak. Today I'm going to show you how to fix a squeaky floorboard. Squeaka squeaka squeak. First, you'll need to get a long finishing nail, a drill with a 1/16 inch bit, and a hammer. A 16-ounce hammer is ideal, although any size will do. Use your drill to make a small hole 1/4 inch into the loose board. Insert the nail, then tap it gently with the hammer until t's flush with the surface of the wood. BAM. Finally, countersink the nail and fill in the whole with a little wood putty. I don't think I did that right. Hey, at least it won't squeak anymore.
