Caption: One hundred and seventeen. Lemme guess. That's the number of women who have rejected you today because you're a tech geek. You wish. It's the number of apps I've downloaded onto my iPhone! This took a bad turn. Worked out better than I'd hoped.

Caption: I'm done with the internet. But you discovered you can use it for Scrabble and flaming people. Crushing losers in online Scrabble and making them cry is great. But it's so much less satisfying than doing so in person. Really? Don't you understand anything, you tech-addled, bad-breathed, girlfriendless iPhone jockey?! Don't you ever try to get me hooded on that crud again. This is war. Again.

Caption: … and to top it off, after school today, Ms. Jensen asked me what I want to be. Give me a break. House of Java.net Cybercafe. No one knows what they want to be when they grown up. I was the rare exception. I knew someday I'd work at a new high-tech giant. Huh? She wanted to know what I wanted to be in some stupid fall play. She assigned me the singing cactus. Never, ever lie. But if anyone asks, I work at Apple.

Caption: I've been playing around with deep fake technology. I took photos of everyone who ever bullied me … and I mapped them onto the little Sims in Simcity. Well, that's only the second most disturbing thing I've heard people doing with that tech. Every time they try to go home, I demolish their homes. Then they drive around in circles wondering what happened. HOJ. You don't think that's strange, do you? I don't judge.

Caption: I'm not convinced that the pyramids of Giza were built as tombs. Sure they were used as tombs, but for all we know, they were built far earlier by some other civilization, and the pharaohs just claimed credit for them. How do we know the pyramids weren't something far more high-tech, like for instance hydroelectric power generators for an advanced civilization? You tell me, how did you charge your cellphone back in 10,000 B.C.? Hydropower from the tears of dorks, here, let me show you ...

Caption: When you think about it, you have to be a complete idiot not to believe aliens crashed at Roswell in 1947. It's clear we reverse-engineered their tech. Before 1947: Primitive cars, planes and radio. After 1947: Spaceships, quantum computing, internet. Let me try ... Before 1947: No bikinis. After 1947: Bikinis. No, wait ... the bikini was 1946. That throws this whole theory into question. We really should have our own science show.

Caption: I was eating my muffin and drinking my latte when I noticed the tv on your wall is only 1080p resolution. That's right. So you admit it! Your tv is not an 8k UHD television! And yet your sign outside says "good eats and state of the art tech inside." That's false advertising. I might be willing to forgo the class action lawsuit and settle out of court. I'd settle for a 1080p tv. Get out.

Caption: Forgive me. I have sinned. It's been four years since last I was here. Since then, I've been … doing something. I knew it was wrong, but it was so easy. And no one could possibly know, so … I did it. And I did it without regard to the lives I would ruin. You could always start buying stuff in stores again, instead of online. Couldn't I just tweet two hail Jobses instead. Computer Villa. Customer Service.

Caption: I've been studying reverse psychology at Tonga Tech online university. Seriously? Nobody's going to go to a psychologist who's got a diploma from some random online college. And psychologists have to have a whole arsenal of treatments. They can't just use reverse psychology for everything. So what you're reverse-saying is, I'll be sought-after and highly effective. No, that's ... ok, yes, that's exactly what I'm saying.

Caption: Greetings from the alternate universe where America lost the revolution. What was that, now? Oh, I see. You're in one of the universes that hasn't yet discovered inter-universal travel. I shall explain … Please do. America lost. In 1833, Britain freed the slaves, one of whom had a daughter who grew up to invent the transistor 90 years earlier than in your universe. We had desktop computers. A moon colony, and the Benjamin Banneker orbiting telescope had identified over 3,000 extrasolar planets, all by 1947. So when the alien ship crashed at Roswell, we all knew it was real, especially since a crumpet farmer named "Mac" Brazel took a selfie amidst the wreckage and uploaded it to Facebloke. Long story short, using the ship's zero-point-energy transdimensional drive tech. We've developed a booming alternate-universe tourism industry. Anyhow, I'll have tea and shepherd's pie, please. That's Monopoly money. No, that monocled man is King Thurston III, our beloved monarch. Nice try.

Caption: I have an idea for a new app: It's an app that generates ideas for apps. What? Every time you're inconvenienced, the app will ask you to describe the inconvenience in great detail. Then it'll feed the variables into an algorithm and pop out an idea for an app that addresses that inconvenience. Having to detail all your inconveniences doesn't sound very convenient. Tell the app why that is, and it'll give you an app for that.

Caption: According to Elon Musk, time travel is possible. I can't wait to time-travel. Elon Musk said time travel is possible? Well, not in so many words. He said it's almost a certainty that we're living in a simulation being run by our descendants in the distant future. His reasoning makes sense. In just my lifetime, we went from "Pac-Man" to "The Sims," where Sims live, work, fall in love, have kids ... and in a few decades, the Sims will be artificially intelligent and they'll actually believe they're experiencing all that. If we're artificially intelligent Sims, then anything is possible. What time travel to be possible? Just wait for the Great Programmer to install the "time travel" expansion pack. Want to live forever? Get him to install the "immortality" expansion pack. According to Elon Musk, I'm one expansion pack away from being a billionaire playboy. Nothing doing. the Great Programmer exhausted all his "miracle" expansion packs 2,000 years ago. But he's still got some "delusion" expansions.

Caption: I've read fifteen books in the last three months, Randy. What? You? Read? Books were invented 5 thousand years ago, little buddy … and I thought if a technology was created prior to the year 2000, you weren't interested. That is my motto. But Amazon's new Kindle Voyage e-reader is cutting-edge tech. HOJ. I don't know, little buddy, it sounds like a dangerous paradox to me. I have been having nightmares about the Ghostbusters crossing the streams.

Caption: I can't vote for Clinton. I just keep thinking about how she said she didn't want to use two separate devices to check her personal and work email. I use six devices! iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, iMac, laptop, and Kindle Paperwhite. Anyone who isn't packing at least four wifi-capable devices is too old-timey to run my country. You think Ted Cruz is packing? I don't want to have this conversation.

Caption: … So now I have a Nexus from Google and an iPhone from Apple. Seems like a waste. I obviously don't need two phone, but at least I'm not taking sides. I want Google and Apple to each know they have my full support. Everything feels right. I was going to say the exact opposite.

Caption: You're telling me not to choose sides between Google and Apple. Precisely. Computer Villa. Stay neutral. Continue to support both companies. Emotionally. Right. By buying as much as you can from both companies. Doesn't that only benefit you? Heretic. Absolve yourself by upgrading your phone! Computer Villa.

Caption: Father, if Google and Apple compete, to whom should I show allegiance? We are mere mortals. We cannot pretend to understand the meaning of this war. Perhaps it is like Zeus vs. Godzilla, or Terminator vs the Hobbit. Or even the force from Star Wars vs. the sentient tree from the planet Pandora. I have no idea what you're saying. My point. It's beyond our understanding. Computer Villa Customer Service.

Caption: Rudy, stop thinking about it. What? Stop thinking about how Google and Apple are competing in the phone business, music, mobile search. Do no obsess about how these two hip symbols of consumer friendliness are cutthroat businesses that could shred one another in the name of profits. I've make a list of things you shouldn't worry about. I take mild solace you used the phrase "mobile search."
