Caption: Told you fellers Trump would make America great ag'n. He weren't lyin', neither. At&T gave out bonuses. Sure they laid off a buncha folks at the same time, but twasn't none of them me, so that don't count. Wal-Mart gave a buncha workers raises … An' they laid off a buncha folks at Sam's Club at the same time, but twasn't none of them me, go that don't count. MAGA. Over a hundred companies are givin' out one-time $1000 bonuses an' sayin' it's 'cause of the billions of dollars in tax cuts they got. During the last gilded age, the robber barons sometimes handed out pocket change to the poor. They were placating the masses who wanted to break up their huge, unscrupulous, slave-wage-paying corporations. Sounds like fake hist'ry to me. Just saying, $1000 isn't much to pay for pitchfork insurance. We eat the poor.

Caption: On today's Ask Sadie Show, I, Sadie Cohen, will discuss one topic: Marie Antoinette. Specifically, we'll talk about how, when the peasants of France were dying from bread shortages, she said … Let them eat one-time $1000 bonuses, so they wont notice that the aristocrats have all pocketed Louis XVI's massive tax cuts and are laying off peasants left and right. Pretty sure she's paraphrasing. I feel like cake, for some reason.

Caption: F&E Marketing and Advertising. Election years are the hardest! It's tough to sell guys like this new political client. To begin with, he has IRS problems. Let's says "He's an experienced tax-cutter." He also took bribes to pay off his debts. That's great! We'll spin it that "he knows how to balance a budget!" He gave public sector jobs to unqualified family members. "He's lowered unemployment." And he has high unfavorable ratings across the political spectrum. Perfect! We'll call him a "true uniter!"

Caption: I'm sick of liberals saying we should raise taxes to help pay off the national debt. If the government were a household that spent more than it took in, the parents would do the ONLY THING they could and cut back on unnecessary expenses. Um … They could also look for higher-paying jobs that brought in more revenue. What'd you say? I was on the phone canceling my electricity and my phone. The Starbucks at the End of the World. Caption: When the President refused to exted the Bush tax cuts, he explained why and that made sense to me. Dr. Noodle. But then when he extend them, I was confused. When the President insisted on a public option for health care, he explained why and that made sense to me. But then he abandoned the public option. I was confused. When the President insisted that the very rich, not just the poor, have to sacrifice to help balance the budget, that made sense to me. But then he signed a bill that didn't ask the very rich to pay even a single cent more in taxes. And you're confused. Not anymore. I miss being confused.

Caption: Pardon me, sir, are you Norquistian? What's a Norquistian? Here, it's our Good Book. You might want to start with our Ten Commandments. "1. Thou shalt not raise taxes. 2. Thou shalt not raise taxes. 3. Thou shalt not raise …" Interesting. What happens if you keep all the commandments? Norquist 19:85: "And lo, the rich shall use their tax cuts to hire the poor. Wages will rise, employment will rise, and manna will trick down from on high and shower all the peoples of the land in prosperity." Oh ... but we've been cutting taxes for ten years, and non of that has happened. Quite the opposite, actually. That is because we are NOT STRONG ENOUGH in the faith. We must cut even more. Not sure I buy all this. You heathens shall be left behind while we, the faithful, shall one day be trickled upon.

Caption: I'm tired of people saying that Republicans are being heartless when they try to strip labor unions of the right to collectively bargain. States are facing huge budget deficits caused by their need to provide expensive vital services, coupled with billions of dollars of tax giveaways to corporations and low property taxes. Sure, labor unions seem to agree that their members have to take pay cuts and contribute more to their retirement and health-care plans, but ... they don't want to give up their right to demand safe working conditions and whatnot. Do you know how expensive it is to provide safe working conditions? Less expensive than treating cancer? A little asbestos never hurt anyone.

Caption: THIS JUST IN: An Al-Qaida terrorist was caught registering to vote today. He was planning to vote for politicians who prioritize tax cuts above all else… …and who oppose spending taxpayer dollars to maintain the nation's infrastructure. Roads, bridges, tunnels, rail, levees and dams would decay and collapse. Thousands of Americans could have been killed. Thank goodness they caught him in time!

Caption: Right, you look like a chap who can keep a secret. I am part of an elite terrorist cell… …tasked with killing Americans in more efficient ways. That is why I am registering to vote. I shall vote for short-sighted politicians who will cut taxes even if it means bridges, roads, tunnels, levees and dams will crumble to the ground. Say what? I won the "outside of the box thinker" award back home.

Caption: Just look at all those bio-lobbyists down there! The brain cells are lobbying hard. They want more education funding, I bet! The bluebloods are pushing tax cuts for the rich… and the nerve fibers are part of the communications lobby! The carbohydrates and sugar molecules are working on energy subsidies, as usual. What about the white blood cells? Are they working for anybody? The defense industry, of course!
