Caption: Clyde … sure, you're a thug, and you make awful decisions. But you're also the only friend I have who's actually met Roxanne. The judge said my lawyer and I can't say anything bad about her in the custody hearing. But maybe as a witness, YOU could slip in some really underhanded, mean comments about her ... ... just to contrast the part where you talk about how ethical I am. That reasoning appeals to me. It does? Never mind, then.

Caption: Y'know what dawg? I'm tired of people talking spit about Obama's negotiating skills. They don't see the big picture. What big picture is that? He doesn't seem to believe in bartering. The ancient art of demanding more than you want, letting the other guy get outraged about it, and then settling for what you really wanted. Obama offers all his compromises before the other side even really asks for them. Like last month, we proposed slashing a program that helps poor people stay warm in the winter. Yeh, but think of what that'll do for the fur coat and graveyard sectors. I don't think "big picture" means what you think it means. He gonna have the undertaker vote lined up in 2010.

Hold on. Jane, our elderly readers are complaining, so get rid of the new comics and bring back "The Oldersons." Anyway, as I was saying...

Caption: Before I hear opening statements, I want to make an opening statement of my own … No judge wants to preside over a child custody hearing. They're spiteful and rife with negative campaigning. Parents act like politicians, attacking their opponent's character instead of making a case for themselves. I will not stand for that in my courtroom. @#$%&#!!! There goes our whole case! You may proceed.

PRINCESS LEIA!!! Amidala was just a cheap, two-dimensional plot device that ... I rest my case. You play dirty.

Caption: What do you want to watch? I don't know. What do you want to watch? "Fringe." I ain't watching no sci fi nonsense. Not when "Real Housewives of Comptom" on. I got the third choose, so I win. Do-over. I can't go against the sacred rule of threes. I asked, you declined to choose. Then it was up to me. If you want the rule to work for you, next time have the foresight to ask first. Wonder if this's the week Peter finds out he's from an alternate universe. One where I don't kick you @*$%?

Caption: Fear, Inc. I called you all here because the Fox "News" division is blowing you all out of the water. Figmond Trip, I'm looking at you. Your tea party division especially was a serious disappointment. Sir, I don't think that's fair. I mean, Mr. Armey and Ms. Bachmann had no chance against Fox's O'Reilly and Hannity. I mean, the three-legged race is stacked in their favor. Hannity's inhumanly quick. I suspect steroids, if you wanna know the truth. ... Um, we're not talking about last week's picnic, are we. Sit down, Figmond.

Caption: Fear Inc. We were a little worried, what with the way it started. But 2009 turned out to be a good year. Fear, Inc. Great, in fact. Yeah, "Obama's a secret Muslim" went nowhere … But "Obama wants to kill Grandma" performed well in the third quarter. Turned things around for us. First quarter wasn't all bad, sir. "Quick, give the banks all our cash or Western civilization will crumble tomorrow" flew off the shelves. True.

Caption: It's blank. Look again. See? See what? Too many people let the media do their thinking for them. We tell them when to be outrage, who to trust, what to care about. What to laugh or cry about. It never ends. … Until now. I'm not following. Nature abhors a vacuum. When readers see this empty space where my article should be, they'll fill it with their own opinions, beliefs and conclusions. Eh? ... Eh? You've been trying that one since kindergarten. Stupid deadlines.
