Caption: How was your day, Lemont? Horrible. I gave a speech to a high school assembly about the importance of journalism. Halfway through, I realized almost nobody was paying attention. They were all staring at their laps. Turns out most of them were on their phones. Square drones, yeah ... weird/ Seriously? Were you on your phone just now? Of course not. I don't know what you mean by Were you on your phone just now. How about a web search for it?

Caption: I had a dream last night. I dreamt that Israel's Prime Minister was Captain Kirk, of the starship Enterprise. And I dreamt Palestine's leader was also Captain Kirk, of a different Enterprise. Both ships were squaring off in orbit of Cestus III. The Metrons who lived on Cestus got annoyed and beamed both Kirks down to the planet to fight one-on-one. Who won? Not sure. There was lots of shirtlessness and karate chops, and then I woke up.

Caption: How do we know we're experiencing the same reality? Maybe what looks blue to you looks red to me. Maybe what smells like chocolate to you smells like vanilla to me. Everybody flunks a math test once in a while, Lemont. Maybe four is the square root of 16 to Mrs. Drake, but six is the square root of 16 to me.

Caption: I used to get all worked up when people said "Happy Holidays." I used to accuse them of waging a secular-progressive war against Christmas. I used to accuse them of trying to evict Christ from the public square. I'd demand to know why they hated Christ. But last week, a frail little old man with a cane said "Happy Holidays," and I... oh dear Lord, I... Go on. ...I just said... "Thank you." I see. You're afraid to acknowledge regret over your past overreactions. I'm afraid I'm losing my war-on-Christmas spirit.
