Caption: This year, I will become a better person. That's a low bar. I just can't sit by and watch corporate America outsource jobs. Are you serious? Big businesses are cutting pension funds and health care benefits. They're contributing to the greatest income gap between laborers and management that we've seen since the depression. This year, I vow to do a better job. Of? Joining corporate America in crushing the little guy. I just pray I have the strength to see this through. I vow to wilt like a lily.

Caption: Mortkey, we've got to work on what we learned in obedience school. Can you sit? House of Java .net Cybercafe. If you sit, I'll give you a slice of Hawaiian pizza with extra jalapenos. A victory for obedience, bribery, or Domino's? For a soda, I'll agree not to throw up on your couch.

Caption: Environmental disaster! Pardon? BP, the Gulf. It's madness. Think of the children! Wow, I can't believe what I'm hearing. You love big oil and hate environmentalists. But this spill has finally gotten to you. You're worried about the children? It's not just BP but all those polluters filling up the oceans with toxins. It's so selfish. If the oceans get stuffed with pollution now, where will generations to come dump their garbage? Oh, to think of our children's children having nowhere to put their industrial refuse. I need to sit down and may require oxygen.

Caption: You're in my set, meathead! I am, Sadie. I hadn't seen you all day, so I began to miss you. I thought that maybe if I sat in your seat … I'd at least get to feel close to you, because I'd be walking in your shoes. That's a very beautiful sentiment. But you're not the first clod to try it. It didn't work for J. Edgar, it won't work for you! (Sight) ... ok I'll move.

Caption: Hi, this is one of 847 Democrats who'll be running for president in 2020. There's never been an easier race to win in the whole of history of races, but I'm hoping you'll vote for me over all the other opportunists … By that I don't mean to say that I'm an opportunist who's only running because it's a sure thing, I just mean all the others are. House of Java.net Cybercafe. You know, you have some time. Maybe work on your message a little bit. I didn't sit out 2016 'cause I was afraid of Hillary ... but the others did.

Caption: Randy, I heard you're making a killing from your Youtube channel. How can a guy get in on that action? Simple … Just sit down in front of a camera and talk from the heart about something you're passionate about. Just be a genuine human being. People are drawn to that. I see, I see. Just one thing: What if the phrase "genuine human being" makes a guy break out in hives? Plan B: Find out what people are googling and pretend to be an expert on the highest-ranked search term. No we're talking.

Caption: The mummified remains of about 40 Buddhist monks were discovered in China, Mongolia and India. All the mummies were found sitting in the lotus position. Many believe that these monks sat so still, meditated for so long, and slowed their heart rates and body functions so much that they became mummified alive ... and they believe that whether those mummies are 200, 600, or 1,000 years old ... they're still alive. Where'd you hear all that? "Strange Mysteries." It's a Youtube channel. I wrote to them to suggest they do a show on whether playing Xbox for five hours a night is the same things as meditating. I'd hate to accidentally mummify myself. You have been looking a little ashy lately.

Caption: What's your question for "Ask Sadie"? The White House just fired me, and … Excellent question. It reminds me of the year 1950. I was baby-sitting some little snot-nosed four-year-old in Queens, NY. The little orange-haired tyke was pretending his teddy bear, "Rosebud," was his employee. After a while, he got bored and asked me if Rosebud would cry if he stopped playing with him. I said "Who cares?! He's just a toy! He has not feelings! When you're bored of him, just fire him! You don't owe him any loyalty!" I accept no responsibility for anything that may or may not have stemmed from that! Wait ... What? Back up ...

Caption: Have you heard that time is not a constant, Randy? Of course, little buddy It's called "time dilation." Time moves slower for objects in motion than it does for objects that sit still. I'm a prime example. I haven't aged a day in decades. I still have rippling muscles, a smooth pelt, glistening teeth, twinkling eyes, a raging libido, and the boundless confidence of youth ... all because I'm always on the move. I'm writing a study on it for the Journal of Temporal Hotness. I've been meaning to ask if you'd be the control group. Can't. I'll be too busy sitting here.

Caption: Do you remember your first kiss? There was snow on the ground. There was snow everywhere. The grown-ups were all out. My father, Rocky, was out hunting with the other fellas. The scent of willow, or maybe white sage, woke me from my peaceful slumber. I turned to see from whence it came. That's when I saw her, kneeling beside a crackling flame, her eyes and her smile aglow with dancing ribbons of amber light. Our eyes met. I strode toward her. In silence, I sat beside her. I looked deep into her eyes. She looked deeper into mine. She grunted melodically, and I leaned in ... "Grunted"? I lightly brushed my lips against hers, and then pounded my chest to claim her as my own. I meant your first kiss in this life. We donned our lion furs and rode into the snowy night on the back of a mastodon to ask the volcano for permission to get busy, as was our clan's custom.

Caption: President Trump raised a good point: "Why was there a civil war anyway?" Slavery. Yes, but why couldn't Lincoln have just sat down with the slave states and made a bigly tremendous deal? Problem solved. What are you babbling about? What sort of "deal" would the south have accepted other than "you get to keep enslaving people"? What if Lincoln had told them they could keep their slavery as long as it was voluntary? The loser never even tried that. You are deliberately pushing my buttons!

Caption: Why did you just dump my kiwi-colada smoothie on my head? I'm glad you (huff) asked. Studies (huff) show that sitting all (huff) day long behind a desk leads (huff) to obesity, sickness, (huff) toe-swelling (huff) and early, (huff) excruciating (huff) death. So more (huff) and more (huff) office workers are using (huff) standing desks (huff) with treadmills. Have you ever (huff) tried handing someone (huff) a smoothie while running (huff) on a treadmill? They walk. ... Walk.

Caption: Sadie, how can I convince my husband that a vacation is worth paying for? Excellent question. In my day, vacations were an essential component of a successful marriage. I would get two weeks a year to don a bikini, sit on a tropical beach amidst coconuts and oiled-up cabana boys, and recharge my yelling voice. And he would stay home working and have two weeks to live in dread of my imminent return. It was a win-win situation, really. What were we talking about again? Um ... nothing. Thanks.

Caption: "Ask Sadie Advice Hour," what's your problem?! Being a high school student is literally killing me. I sit all day at school, and I sit all evening doing my homework. Stop yer sniveling!!! Every student since the beginning of time has had to deal with this problem. Yes, you're sitting all day. But like any other teenager, you should be burning thousands of calories anyway. The eye-rolling alone should burn up to 473 calories per hour. Pick up the pace, slacker!!!

Caption: You know what'd be cool? If the president nominated me for the supreme court. Say what? It's a lifetime appointment. Once I got the job, I could just sit there and twiddle my thumbs, and nobody could fire me. I could sit there during oral arguments and just play games all day on my iPad. Sounds like a sweet deal. Plus I'd get to wear a black robe. I could get super fat and no one would ever notice.

Caption: I wonder who the next Supreme Court justice will be. Well, the president has a habit of disappointing liberals, so we can be sure of one thing … It won't be a radical Socialist ideologue who'll swing the court back to the left. Are you sure? I have it on good authority. How can you just sit there slurping coffee while the president isn't returning my calls?!

Caption: Today, our quest continues for someone who can come up with a solution for dealing with the partisan gridlock in Washington. In my day, we built bunkers ten feet underground and stocked them with tuna fish. We planned to sit out the apocalypse down there, eating tuna on crackers and playing Scrabble. Tomorrow, our quest continues ...

Caption: Welcome back to "The Ask Sadie Show." You're on Connecticut. What's your problem?! How can I get my landlord to stop parking in my parking spot? Excellent question. It's possible it's just an innocent misunderstanding. It's equally possible to innocently rent a circus elephant that likes to sit on cars. The lawyers have asked me to clarify that your question and my answer are not necessarily related. Gotcha.

Caption: Open mike night presents Sadie Cohen. Summer's almost over … baseball season's nearly done. The time is growing short to see the man-meat hit home runs. Their rippling biceps swinging wooden bats hard through the air … their quadriceps pump, unbridled, while I sit there and stare. And when they slide into home plate, there's always a slim chance ... that if they slid in wrong, they're a-gonna split their pants! I don't think I'll ever be able to un-hear that.
