Caption: Thank god the GOP has given up trying to take health care away from millions of people. No they haven't. Trying-to-repeal-Obamacare has become a tradition, like celebrating-holidays-by-not-thinking-about-why-we-have-a-day-off-and-just-barbecuing has become a tradition. I've stocked up on hot dog buns and beer for the next repeal day. You-not-letting-me-enjoy-the-moment has become a tradition.

Caption: Have you signed up for Obamacare yet? #@$% no. Republicans gonna win big in November. Then they gonna kill Obamacare. So if I sign up for it an' like it, I'll be disappointed when I lose it. That's not the dumbest reason I've heard. You gotta work on your compliments.

Caption: Mr. Fitzhugh wants you to WHAT? Take point on the big P.F. Chang's deal in Arizona tomorrow. Did you tell him you didn't want to go to Arizona, not until they repeal that law that might force cops to persecute Latinos? Thank you for the opportunity, Sir. I can't wait! ... I believe my principled stand was wasted on him. (Originally published in 2010)

Caption: I'm tired of opportunists pretending there's some sort of "War on women." … Just because in the states, we're trying to de-fund Planned Parenthood, repeal equal pay enforcement acts, and force women to undergo unnecessary medical procedures. … And just because we're trying to make sure women can only have contraceptive coverage in their health insurance if their bosses decide they can. None of that has anything to do with women. It's all about freedom. Besides, if chicks has less nookie, they wouldn't have to pay so much for the pill. That's not how the pill works. I have a constitutional right to decide how the pills does and doesn't work.

Caption: What's so funny? Say it again, Phobos. Ok … The next election's two whole years away. Shouldn't we take a break … leave people alone until then … so they can govern rationally, deal only with the most essential issues, and make practical decisions for the good of all, based only on facts and on a dispassionate study of empirical data? Fear, Inc. ... It was funnier the first time I said it. Whatever. Where are we on the gay marriage repeals?

Caption: President Bush nominates a log to the supreme court on the United States. The response from some quarters is predictable. Die-hard Bush opponents. This is a fascist log bent on repealing Roe v. Wade. Die-hard Bush supporters. I have faith in the president's judgment. If he trusts the log, I say we trust him. Clyde. Where does the log stand on stealin' punks' wallets?
