Caption: I finished reading the rough draft of your memoir, Lemont. Cool. The problem was, I realized that all my stories involved other people, who might not want me to write about them. So I wrote a mathematical formula to determine whether the juiciness of the story was greater than my desire to keep that person's friendship. Surely Hemmingway's "A Farewell to Arms" is about pitchers retiring and leaving their teammates. Maybe "The Color Purple" is about the Colorado Rockies and their uniforms. It's likely Orwell's "1984" chronicles the Detroit Tigers championship season. And "Gone with the Wind"? It must be set on a blustery Chicago day with lots of home runs being hit at Wrigley Field!

Political cartoons helped bring down King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. And then there's Napoleon ... He was so terrified of cartoonists that he banned them. And when that didn't work, he commissioned cartoons to counterattack his enemies with. Hitler was terrified of cartoons. Nixon put cartoonists on his enemies list. Tyrants all over the world are jailing of killing them. No, I mean why are you reading that flappy think? Don't you have a Kindle or a phone? ... Someone needs to draw a cartoon about you.
