Caption: It's Dr. Sadie. Go ahead, caller. Yeah, how come you haven't said "Merry Christmas" yet? Oh, that's because I was hoping to provoke every who's upset about the so-called "war on Christmas" to spend all their time on hold waiting to castigate me. That way, all the normal people who don't think Christmas is just another chance to play the victim can open their gifts in peace. You're welcome, America. Why haven't you played "Jingle Bells" yet?

Caption: Akron, OH, you're on Ask Sadie. What's your problem?! I'm thinking of not signing up for health insurance this year. Good idea. In my day, there was no such thing as health insurance. If you got sick, you paid for it with either money or chickens. That's if you were a lily-livered coward who just had to see a doctor. When great great grandmother Cohen had her sixth heart attack, she just applied a poultice made of chestnut leaves and flour and kept plowing.

She's agreed not to resort to violence. I see. And the bad news? On today's "Sadie Cohen Radio Show": Evil cafe owners who may or may not poison their customers.

Caption: I had a strange day today, Susan. I totally know how THAT is … My day was strange, too. On the one hand, I landed the "Ask Sadie Radio Show" account. And I got a huge bonus. On the other hand, I discovered an underground gambling ring where people bet on how many cups of coffee I'll drink by noon. It's annoying when someone pretends to sympathize with you just so she can change the subject to her. I totally know how THAT is...

Caption: We're going to cut our own Christmas tree? Why don't we just buy one? Oh sure, we could go buy a tree, but that would deprive us of the joy of harvesting a tree! Serial killers should start calling themselves "serial harvesters." I think NPR already does.

Comic/Cartoon: Rudy Park

Image Number: 135389
Caption: What's your question for "Ask Sadie"? I've been invited to two different Thanksgivings. One with family, one with friends. Which one do I go to? Ah. An age-old question. You do what we did in the old days: Think about which one is more likely to include arguments, bitter resentments and poorly hidden betrayals, ... And go to that one. A holiday without the floor show is no holiday at all! My aunt does hate my uncle ... but then ... my friend Tyra's husband does suspect her and Darnell.

Image Number: 135087
Caption: You're on "Ask Sadie" What's your problem? I want to go back to work. But my son is still so young. I'd have to send him to preschool or day care. And then most of my salary would go to pay for that. So what should I do? You should do what we did in my day: Have six more kids and then let them all fend for themselves! If your eldest isn't a strong leader, it may get a little "Lord of the Flies"-ish, but that builds character! ... in the survivors.

Cartoonist(s): Darrin Bell
Comic/Cartoon: Rudy Park

Caption: On today's "Ask Sadie" Radio Hour, we'll talk about the elephant in the room: Hillary Clinton's age. And Bernie's too. Forget all this PC nonsense, I'll just come right out and say it: Their age disqualifies them. These children don't know anything about life. I bet they haven't even gotten their first hip replacement yet. Nice to know we'll always be young to somebody. Earth is young to her.

Caption: It's flu season! Stay indoors! Touch no one! Barricade the doors! Burn all your incoming mail! Refuse all pizza deliveries! The best way to greet children and loved ones during this time of national tragedy is via not doing it. I would take your calls, but I don't know where your phone lines have been. HOJ.

Caption: Ask Sadie. Actual questions from actual readers! Send your questions to asksadie@rudypark.com. Dear Ask Sadie, My mom is always nagging me to clean my room. I don't see why I should have to. I like it the way it is. I don't nag at her for having a clean room, because I know that's how she likes it. How can I get her to just let me be me? - Unhappy at Home. Excellent question. The thing is, it's your mother's job to shape you into a respectable person. If you think "being you" includes being dirty, that means you're a dirty, slovenly filth-beast ... who will end up alone and miserable because no living creature other than rats and bacteria will be able to tolerate your disgusting habits. And one day, even Pizza Hut will stop delivering to you for fear of running across a toxic mushroom growing from the mound of unwashed undergarments behind your easy chair. That's the polite answer. Now get ready for some straight talk ... Send questions for Sadie to asksadie@rudypark.com

I'm asking everyone I know for advice on how not to think about that part. Susan … Clyde … radio shows … fortune tellers ... Had it occurred to you that maybe this means you do want to think about it? Think about what? Ph.D.

Caption: Welcome back to "The Ask Sadie Show." You're on Connecticut. What's your problem?! How can I get my landlord to stop parking in my parking spot? Excellent question. It's possible it's just an innocent misunderstanding. It's equally possible to innocently rent a circus elephant that likes to sit on cars. The lawyers have asked me to clarify that your question and my answer are not necessarily related. Gotcha.

Caption: What's your question for "Ask Sadie"? I've been talking to … um … "Tina" for three whole weeks … Do you think it's too early to try and get her to move out here near me? Excellent question. The answer is, we're all barreling full-steam toward death and incontinence. So seize the moment!!! That's both depressing and uplifting at the same time.

Caption: Welcome to Ask Sadie. You're on, Vancouver. What's your problem? I met this really cool guy who makes my toes go numb … but I'd already been talking to another guy. The thing is, I want them both. Is that selfish? Excellent question. This reminds me of the time I went to the Sizzler salad bar. I wanted both the ranch dressing and the vinaigrette. So what I did was, I poured both of them all over my lettuce at the same time. Metaphor. No, just two. Wait ... what?
