Caption: Ask Sadie. Dear Sadie: I'm really excited about being old enough (13) to have my own cellphone soon. But my dad won't get me the iPhone X. He'll only get me an Android. Yuck. SMH. How do I get him to understand how much that's going to ruin my life so that he'll get me the X? HMB, Charlotte. I would like modern society to reconsider its freakish aversion to corporal punishment! I mean l ... thank you for writing. Ask Sadie at asksadie@rudypark.com

He's realized that the Republicans will never be punished for denying Barack Obama all those judicial appointments. Booooring. He's stuck on phase one in the grieving process. Caption: What's the best way to break up with someone without hurting their feelings? Why would you want to do that? The whole point of breaking up with someone is to punish them for their shenanigans, their shortcomings, and their carnal incompetence! Why deny yourself satisfaction?! Every time you bring a tear to the eye of a loser, an angel get her wings.

Caption: I've figured out why Vladimir Putin is so belligerent toward us. It's his last name. In the west, it's been the subject of jokes for decades. A thing like that would make anyone cranky and hostile, and eager to punish anyone who doesn't take them seriously. Good point. I remember in grade school, there was a kid named "Ima Stinkbottom." She became an IRS auditor. I rest my case.

Caption: Mommy and daddy are arguing again. Sorry, little dude. But you shouldn’t worry about it. But it's all my fault. That's a normal thought. Kids always think it's their fault. But it never is. It's not? No. But they're arguing over whether to punish me for driving daddy's lawn mower through Macy's. He has to take a third job to pay for all the damages. That's still not my fault? Nope. It's their fault for not having taught you not to drive a lawn mower through a department store. So when daddy blamed me when I threw all his photo albums in the river, he really should've blamed his own parenting? That's right. "The Childhood Loophole" has very few exceptions.
