Caption: I really wish Mort was here to share my award. I'm the most obnoxious talk show host of the year and there's no one to share it with. Mort is so selfish. He's probably partying it up out there with the boys. We could eat our owns kin. Delirious. My iPhone looks like mint jelly.

Caption: Randy the Love Doctor. What ails you, brother? I'm in love with another man's wife, and he found out. We're all supposed to go to the same party next week. But now that he knows … should I still go? Of course. Never run away. But what if he confronts me in front of everyone? I'd be so embarrasses. Just keep repeating Randy's seven golden man-words" I don't know what you're talking about.

Caption: Most Millennial want a third major party to challenge the Republicans and Democrats. The last time a third party rose up and toppled a big-two party was when the Republicans supplanted the Whigs. What do you think that generation was called? Google says they were the "Progressives," but that doesn't sound old-timey enough to be right. I'm not sure what they should be named, but I'm pretty sure it should include the word "falutin." You should have your own political show.

Caption: Randy? What kind of frat parties do you think they had in ancient Rome? I mean, they wore togas every day. That's easy, little buddy. They'd wear an Akkadian loincloth. The Akkadians were just as ancient as the Romans as the Romans are to us. You seem to know a lot about them. That's because the Randy lineage traces its roots back to the Akkadians. Randush "The Rock" Taylor was a popular loincloth model back then. I can trace my family back to Cleveland.

Caption: Ask Sadie. Our resident surly lass answers actual reader questions sent to rudy@rudypark.com. Dear Sadie, My husband forgot my birthday. There was no cake, no trip, no party, no nice little gift, no card, no "happy birthday" whispered in my ear … NOTHING. How do I let him know how deeply that hurt me? - Hurt in Harford. Excellent question. It reminds me of the time I hunted down a wild boar in the Serengeti in 1951. Decades earlier, when I was but a young lass, nobody remembered my birthday, or so I thought. that night, dear old Grandmother Cohen surprised me with a loaf of bread topped with a flaming licorice stick. Just as I blew out the licorice, it happened: A young wild boar came out of nowhere, darted across our shack, grabbed my loaf in its slobbery may and escaped into the dark, stormy night. I tracked that boar for twenty years across seven continents before I finally caught him. Speaking of which, it's time for my daily ham sandwich. Anyway, what were we talking about? Ask Sadie, baby!

Caption: I've never had a real date, because they always refuse to sign the Dutch contract. "The Dutch Contract"? Most relationships fail because of money. Because one party starts to see the other party as a piggy bank. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask prospective dates to sear under oath that they'll always go Dutch on everything. Maybe it's the title people object to. A lot of conservatives can't stand anything that sounds European. Yeah. That must be it.

Caption: Excuse me, sir, if it's not too much trouble … Hi, Democrats. What can I get you? Coffee Sandwiches? An explanation. We introduced our bold new plan last month: "A Better Deal," but the progressives still aren't impressed. What more could they ask for? We focus-group tested the heck out of the slogan. It was the least objectionable and least un-inspiring of the bunch! It evokes FDR's "New Deal" and LBJ's "Fair Deal" without over-promising. We don't want to risk over-promising. It even sounded progressive! We mentioned tax credits to retrains workers, a $15 minimum wage (eventually), regulating prescription drug prices, and busting monopolies, maybe. We even said we'd think about forming a committee to consider considering sing-payer health care, among many other more corporate-donor-friendly options that aren't single-payer. And we introduced it with an editorial vowing not to expand government or move our party in one direction or another along the political spectrum. Bold! So why didn't that fire up the progressive base? ... Hello?

Caption: Hey boss, that generic soap you gave me isn't really cleaning the cups. Mind if I go get some brand name stuff? Are you insane? There's zero difference between generic and brand name products. Corporate America just cons people into thinking "you get what you pay for." Don't be a stooge, Rudy. Don't fall for it. Now get in there and scrub those cups, minion! Strike a blow for the little guy against corporate lies! Wait ... I'm very confused. Are you a right-winger or a left-winger? You mean in word or in deed?

Caption: I was supposed to speak at Berkeley about my new book on male-female relations. What do you mean "supposed to"? A few students protested, and before we knew it, radical outside agitators from the Anti-Lovin' Brigade started throwing Molotov cocktails. Then everyone blamed the students, and Berkeley fell sixteen notches on the Princeton Review's list of party schools. I'm surprised you let some "brigade" shut down your speech, Randy. The cute brigadier's eyes and mine met across a burning quad ... Less surprised, now.

Caption: I've decided. I know who I'm voting for, Randy. Do tell, little buddy. Well, I decided that in order to truly be better than the rest of you, I'd have to be completely above political parties or any one ideology. So I've decided to vote for George Washington. He's the only candidate who was never in a party and had no ideology. Even if that were true, isn't being against ideology an ideology? Don't try to propagandize me with your anti-anti-ideology ideology.

Caption: I'm torn, Randy. I'm so undecided about this election. You're still undecided about the candidates? No, I'm undecided about whether to be undecided. On the one hand, it could make me seem like I'm unbiased. Like I'm not beholden to any particular ideology. Like I'm above it all. But on the other hand, it could make me look like I'm too dumb to tell the difference between things that are different. Take a couple weeks to ponder that. No rush.

Caption: I imagine at your age, you attend a lot of funerals, Sadie. Oh, yes, they're quite lovely. As a child, I attended birthday parties. As a lass, I attended sweet sixteens. As a young adult, I attended weddings. As a mature woman, I attended retirement parties. Now, in the twilight of life, I attend funerals. "Deathday" parties, if you will. And it's beautiful. Because it's all come full circle? Because for once, I don't have to buy the %$&*@ a gift.

Caption: Hello, this is Hillary Clinton. Oh. I'm Mortimer Park. As you know, I have won the Democratic party's nomination for President of the United States. I don't think so … and as a former Bernie Sanders supporter, it is in your best interest to work just as hard to help me win in the fall. House of Java Cybercafe. You haven't actually won yet, though. Winning is just a formality.

Caption: Is this Randy the Love Doctor? Speaking. What ails you, brother? I was a ladies man back in the '70s and '80s. But now the woman I partied with all see it differently. What I want to know is … Wait … is this Bill Cosby? No, this is … uh … Pill … Pill Oxy ... Ton-Smythe. My answering service distinctly says "If you're Bill Cosby, please hang up."

Caption: I heard Rudy was asking everyone about their earliest memories. He was, but he got distracted and forgot about it. That's a shame. I was hoping he'd get around to me. I have the oddest "earliest memory" and I wanted to share it. It's just as well, I guess. Knowing some man secretly attended my first birthday party has caused me to question my parentage all these years. Especially since Mother Park made me promise not to tell father the potted plant was actually J. Edgar Hoover. It's always wise to let sleeping dogs lie.

Caption: You're on "Ask Sadie." What's your problem?! Super delegates. A candidate could win the most votes in the primaries but lose anyway of the superdelegates want someone else! Can you believe that? Oh stop yer sniveling. In my day, the parties chose candidates in smoke-filled backrooms without even pretending the people get a vote. At least this charade gets you out of the house. Gets the blood pumping. I guess.

Caption: What's your question for "Ask Sadie"? I've been invited to two different Thanksgivings. One with family, one with friends. Which one do I go to? Ah. An age-old question. You do what we did in the old days: Think about which one is more likely to include arguments, bitter resentments and poorly hidden betrayals, ... And go to that one. A holiday without the floor show is no holiday at all! My aunt does hate my uncle ... but then ... my friend Tyra's husband does suspect her and Darnell.
