Caption: I'm losing sleep! The naughty-nice standard is so vague and confusing! Maybe "good" is not an objective fact. In "Hamlet" Shakespeare said "There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." Does Santa take into consideration other things might be as important as simply being good? You know, Oscar Wilde said "It is absurd to divide people into good and bad. People are either charming or tedious." Kids today worry too much and over analyze everything. As long as they keep their rooms tidy and eat their vegetables, they won't be getting coal in their stockings.

Caption: Movie Awards. Winner. It's been a big night for Ernie! He won three times at the movie-set caterer awards! On one set he made a healthy, refreshing beverage that received rave reviews from the cast and crew. He won the "best pitcher" award for it. Did they say he won for best costumes? No, his dressings won. His sticky buns won also. For "best leading roll" performance, right? No, for best "cinnamontography"!

Caption: Hades Movie Awards After Show. The dealy sins were all here -- They love walking the red carpet! Pride won tonight for a leading role and envy won for a supporting role. Wrath was seen yelling at at the paparazzi ... Lust tried to meet beautiful actresses ... and Gluttony rushed off to the buffet. Greed is already counting all the money he'll make because he won an award. And when sloth won, he received the night's biggest ovation ... because he was too lazy to give an acceptance speech!

They all better hurry inside and take their seats. The show is about to start with the Best Picture Award. They're starting with the Best Picture Award? Of course! Caption: F&E Production Co. Once again, our films were not appreciated and we didn't win an Academy Award. But we have three sure winners for next year! In a thriller, a small California town is terrorized by a Shakespeare-quoting mob … It's called "The Bards." And in "The Sound of Muzak" an Austrian family escapes the Third Reich via a secret elevator! Finally, we have a story of astronauts marooned on a planet populated entirely by superheroes. "Planet of the Capes."

Caption: Look! Up in the spotlight is in an Emmy? Is it an Oscar? No It's "Malaprop Man." Malaprop Man! What have you been up to? I was master of alimonies at the Academy Rewards! After walking the dread carpet, my lovely co-hospice and I did a dance number - we looked just like Fred Ascare and Ginger Vitis. Then we prevented the rewards for best cinnamontography and best deporting actor. it was an honor meeting those talented people who had just reached the pinochle of their procession. The whole evening had the sweet smell of excess! How right you are, MM!

Caption: Oh-no! My old movies! Look what you did, Ernie … You recorded one movie right over another! You've combined my 1941 Walter Pidgeon with my 1967 Patty Dukek! No problem -- We'll title it, "How Green was my Valley of the Dolls"! And combined my pet bear movie with the Charlton Heston epic! So call it "Gentle Ben Hur"! The Peter Sellers cold war classic and the 1969 Dean Jones VW comedy! "Doctor Strangelove Bug"! Worst of all, then you combined three of my favorites -- The 1982 Oscar winner and the 1939 civil war epic and the 1983 children's classic. "Gandhi with the Wind in the Willows"!

Caption: Academy Awards. In honor of the Oscars, today we'll discuss classic movies with film scholar, Dr. Ernie. What did you think of "The Deer Hunter", Dr. Ernie? It should never have been shot. "The Apartment" won multiple Academy Awards, yet many people have never seen it. Should they get the video? Do not rent "The Apartment"! .... And "The Bridge on the River Kwai" ...? It started okay, but then it didn't hold up. How about "From Here to Eternity"? ... It won eight Oscars! I thought that movie would never end! Ernie, we haven't found a "best picture" film you like! Can you say anything good about non-winners? Well, Hitchcock's "North by Northwest" had great direction and I was crazy about "Psycho"!

Caption: The Robotics Dept. Robin Williams in Bicentennial Man. Robin Williams would be my choice for an Oscar ... He showed that we robots have just as much emotion as humans do! No way, Ernie! For example, do you ever get "excited"? Hey! I'm really wired! Do you feel sadness? Well, I seem to be down frequently. How about nostalgia? I've got lots of memory! Okay, but can you forgive and forget? That's what the "delete" and "reset" buttons are for! Ernie, there's absolutely no logic to your arguments! See? Yet another way we're just like humans!

Caption: Welcome, it's Oscar time and today Me. Hollywood will review some of this year's less publicized films. Our first film is "The Construction Worker" which completely held Mr. Hollywood's attention. It was riveting, I was nailed to my seat. The next films a documentary, "The Proper Way To Do Fingerpainting." We both disliked it. In other words, "The Proper Way To Do Fingerpainting" is thumbs down. ...And "Constellation" which Mr. Hollywood gave his highest rating, "Constellation" was four stars. Our final film is "The Invisible Man." It is one of this year's worst Mr. Hollywood hated it. I'll say. "The Invisible Man" should not be seen!
