Caption: I feel like I'm starting to hate everyone, doc. Dr. Noodle. I hate the stranger who shook his head in disgust at me when he saw I was in an interracial relationship. I hate the lady who cut me off in traffic and almost ran me off the road this morning. I hate the dentist who convinced me I needed a $350 mouth guard when I could've bought one just as good for $25 at Target. I hate the girl scout who sold me six disgusting boxes of ten-year-old Samoa cookies. That's ... ten? I hate myself for not noticing she had to have been at least 23 years old.

Caption: Sadie, I just heard something disturbing, and I think you're the only one who can tell me whether it's true. Youtube is telling me I've lived 300 years of phantom time. Pope Gregory XIII's math was off when he created our calendar, and this is actually the year 1717. What's more, the Middle Ages is just a fiction the pope created to explain his rounding error. You were there, Sadie ... did King Arthur really exist? I'll tell you about that nice boy, as soon as I demonstrate how we dealt with heretics.

Caption: On today's Ask Sadie Show, we discuss one topic: The Great Recession. You thought it was gone, but Congress is deregulating the crooked Wall Street gangsters who caused it in the first place! This reminds me of the year 1923. An old man who lived in a rain barrel by the five and dime used to shout If'n you brushed yer teeth once, well then you don't have to do it no more. The 1920s was a colorful time. Old Jedediah Toothless was a nincompoop! And so is Congress.

Caption: On today's Ask Sadie Show, we discuss one topic: Starman, the mannequin Elon musk launched into space in a car. Speaking of Musk … the year was 1973. Unbeknownst to the world, NASA sent one final Apollo mission, to broker a peace treaty with the aliens Apollo 17 had stumbled upon. Those aliens were muskier than a herd of yaks, and I told them so! They took offense, and I told them it's not my fault you're so thin-skinned! So that's why we haven't been back in fifty years. How was I to know they'd consider that racist?

Caption: Today on the Ask Sadie Show, we'll be addressing one single topic: "Comeuppance." Specifically, we'll talk about how the tables have finally turned on men who've preyed on women for generations. It reminds me of the last time there was such a dramatic reversal of the social order. The place: France. The year: 1789. Great-great-great-great-great-grandma Sadie had just invented the guillotine. Ironically, she'd invented it as a new way to cut cake.

Caption: On today's Ask Sadie Show, I, Sadie Cohen, will discuss one topic: Hillary Clinton's book, "What Happened." It reminds me of the very first political memoir I ever read. The year was 1921. Warren G. Harding had just pantsed the Democrat James M. Cox. After emerging form the woods, loser Cox was ready to reflect. He traveled by donkey from town to town to hawk his book: "That Which Occurred." When she's gone, all these little details will be lost to history. This is almost as good as her show about Grover Cleveland's third nipple.

Caption: Today on the Ask Sadie Show, we'll be addressing one single topic: "Medicare for All." Specifically, we'll talk about how paying just a little more in taxes to fund it would save money, since no one would have to pay premiums or copays, no matter what their age. That's why we must defeat it! What about the rest of us, who had to struggle with sky-high insurance costs, horrible coverage, and enormous bills that forced us into bankruptcy, for 65 whole years, before qualifying for Medicare?! We paid our dues!!! Plus, when you make it over that 65-year finish line, it's like surviving The Hunger Games. A very proud moment.

Caption: Remember how you advised me to get a dangerous hobby to build up my self-esteem and impress people? Well, all the dangerous hobbies were already taken. You wrestle alligators … Armstrong skis down a pile of his money … Without a helmet. Even that ancient hag Sadie has a dangerous hobby. Every year, in violation of both common sense and local fire safety ordinances, the old lady lights all the candles on her birthday cake. I heard that!!! Fun fact: The 20th century was one of the most brutal in history. I witnessed most of it. And I took notes!! I've taken up "Sadie-taunting." You'd be better off with the alligators.

Caption: Note to self: Call lawyer, ask if he has any experience with charges of treason. What's lawyer got to do … got to do with it … What? What are you doing? Tina Turner. My second favorite singer, after Clay Aiken. She's amazing. I investigated every single one of her concerts. Good times. Wanna see my Tina Turner tattoo? I'm not a Russian spy!! What is this, 1985?! Good year. Tina was in "Mad Max" that year.

Caption: Rudy, you can't meet with the Russians. It'll be a disaster of epic proportions. How so? What could possibly go wrong? There are always unintended consequences with Russia. It was summer of 1988. I was a teenager on a one-man goodwill tour across the Soviet Union. Just me, my Harley and my leather jacket ... that is, until I visited the Kremlin. Let's just say I rode the last few thousand miles of that journey with a beautiful older blonde named Irina clinging to my back. Her father Mikhail was furious. He was so distracted for the next year that his entire country fell apart. Wait ... who was her father? Remind me to show you my Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Caption: I can't believe I missed out on the whole beard craze last year. I'm not making the same mistake this year. What do you think of my reverse-beard? I do believe I'm the first person to rock one of these babies. Well … "Well" what? To "rock" something is also very last-year, if you ask me. Oh. You're right. And "babies" is kind of outdated too. I do believe I'm the first person to classical one of these elderlies. Keep trying.

Caption: I'm surprised you're not out yelling "go vote!" at people through your bullhorn, Mort. I don't want to risk it. People are so fed up with this horrible, awful, disgusting election … I worry that one more mention of it could backfire and cause the entire township to just stay home and sleep. You sure it's not 'cause of all the "Trump" yard signs around here? Nonsense. I just think this year, nobody really needs a reminder.

Caption: Armstrong, why do we have Fourth of July decorations up? That was last week. Exactly. A true patriot loves his country regardless of the date. A true patriot celebrates the founding of our corporatocracy every single day of the year, minion. Some of the decorations are smeared with coffee grounds and banana peels. A true patriot knows that one cafe's dumpster is another cafe's treasure.

Caption: Boss … if you could live in any era in history, which one would it be? I'm glad you asked. I've given this a lot of thought. I'd travel back to 14th century Europe and try to broker peace to head off the hundred year's war. I could save 3.3 million lives. I'd also bring a suitcase of penicillin and other antibiotics with me to cure "The Black Death" before it got started. I could save 200 million people. Maybe he's not such a bad man. Without that depletion of manpower, feudalism would never have tragically had to end and you'd be calling me "lord."

Caption: Ask Sadie. Actual questions from actual readers! Send your questions to asksadie@rudypark.com. Dear Ask Sadie, I have encountered a "close-talker" at work who always stands about five or six inches from my face while talking to me. Unfortunately, this close-talker is my boss. How can I get her to stop doing this without shooting my career in the foot? - Charlotte in Austin. Excellent question. It takes me back. The year was 1938. I spent months tracking down the elusive grizzly bear of the Ozarks. There was no proof he existed. But there were tales told by the campfire of a hapless lumberjack cornered in his tent one night by a ten-foot tall beast. He was awakened by a blood-curdling growl. When he opened his eyes, he was peering deep into the wide-open, razor-fanged yap of the grizzly, just two inches away. The grizzly inhaled and as luck would have it, the lumberjack's enormous beard was sucked into the monster's gaping maw and tickled the roof of its mouth. As the grizzly giggled uncontrollably, the lumberjack made his escape. And what were we talking about? Ask Sadie at asksadie@rudypark.com

Caption: On today's Ask Sadie Show, we discuss one topic: Earth Day. All you global warming alarmists need to stop yer sniveling! The year was 1918. After a passionate love affair, an Inuk man named Nanook deeded acres and acres of Arctic land to Mother Cohen, who in turn deeded it to me. I, for one, am looking forward to the day when that land will be a tropical paradise. Sasquatch will be no match for "Sadie of the North." I fear for the polar bears.

Caption: Boss, if you could be ANY superhero, which one would it be? Insurance-Adjuster-Man. In a world where superheroes were real, there'd be an awful lot of collateral damage to buildings and infrastructure. Insurance-Adjuster-Man would probably clear six figures by breakfast. "Heroes" aren't in it for the money. Of course they are. Take Lex Luthor, for instance ... Businessman of the Year. Armstrong Maynard.

Caption: Good morning, Rudy. I suppose you're wondering why I've summoned you. I like licorice. It's time for your annual performance review. In short, you've done very well this year. Thank you, boss. You're friendly, punctual, and well-groomed. You follow direction acceptably, you've shown initiative, and you brew a fine cup of coffee. Those are the pluses. There's only one negative, really. Only 1.3 percent of your social media posts and comments have been about me or the cafe, and of those only 94% have been positive. An overwhelming 6% have been neutral. The only thing keeping me from firing you is, 0% have been negative. Just thought of a negative. I'm also not thrilled about that cute kitten you re-tweeted in February. I'm more of a piranha man.

Caption: You called, Boss? Did you hear about that guy who bought a 62-year-old live-saving drug and then hiked the price 5000% from $23.50 a pill to $750 a pill? It's outrageous! In this country you can get away with basically extorting sick and dying people, just to make a few more bucks. People's lives aren't considered anywhere near as important as one man's greed. What part outrages you? That you didn't think of it first? Get me some dirt on whoever owns penicillin.
