Caption: Boss, I have a question to ask you, but I'm pretty sure I already know what your answer is going to be. Ask away, minion. Can I have a day off each week to catch up on all the "Star Wars" novels and comic books that tie into the upcoming movie? Of course, Rudy. Who am I to stand in the way of your education in the proper role of a boss and his employee? Wait ... Are you talking about the Emperor and Darth Vader? Excellent training manual, if you ignore the lame social justice warrior parts.

Caption: Come in, minion. What's up, boss? I'm writing a novel. It's a thriller about an intrepid café owner who discovers a map to the lost coffee bean of the ancients. The bean is hidden in crumbling catacombs beneath a booby-trapped Mayan temple. Braving an almost certain grisly death ... The cafe owner sends his obsequious minion to liberate the bean. Wait ... what? But the story really gets going when the evil minion tries filing for workman's comp just because he loses a few toes. Can the brave owner have his government stooge dismiss the complaint before his insurance premium is affected? Stay tuned! I don't think I get one-percenter fiction, boss.

Caption: In my day, they didn't give free lunches to poor children in school. If your parents couldn't afford to feed you, you went without. When you saw rich kids and their fancy sandwiches, you didn't expect the government to even the scales for you. You pushed them down in the dirt and stole those sandwiches on your own! I think I read about you in "Lord of the Flies."

Caption: My new year's resolution is to write a best-selling novel. Did you know "50 Shades of Grey" started out as fan fiction about that vampire book "Twilight"? I just need to repeat that formula: write fan fiction about a popular book and then just change all the names when I'm done. That way, my book will appeal to that same audience and they won't even know why. Which "popular book" are you going to write fan fiction about? "50 Shades of Grey." Only I'll change the names to "Bella" and "Edward," and make them all vampires and werewolves. The literary world won't even see me coming. But they'll sure see you going.

Caption: It's been a banner year for you, Rudy, and I'm glad I was part of it. What do you mean? In January, you almost quit to go find a better job. In February, Armstrong almost made you a partner in the café. In March, you almost started working out to get in shape for summer. In May, you almost finally started writing that novel you've always wanted to write. And through it all, I was there to taunt you and point out your shortcomings. I look forward to continuing our partnership in 2015! I almost thought of a really good comeback.

Caption: That book was so cliché. Can you believe the butler actually did it? He did? Oh. I'm sorry. Had you not finished the book? Did I, the person you forgot to tip for the last five years, totally and completely ruin your whole entire day? I'M ABOUT TO TIP YOU LIKE A COW! I've read every book on your Amazon wish list.
