Caption: What are you scribbling on your pad there, nephew? I ordered a quintuple espresso with extra caffeine, and right away you started scribbling. Is it about me? You're not documenting my orders and passing them on to my wife, or my doctors, are you? I'm a grown man! I can handle anything! I've been drinking coffee since before you were born, you traitorous, whippersnapping tattle-tale! Will I go unreported if I downgrade to a quadruple? Does whippersnapping have on p or two?

Caption: Your nephew had a big date last night, Mort. It's about time. Back in my day, I went out with a different cutie patootie every fortnight. At my age, it's all about living vicariously through the younguns. Which means when he's going through a drought, so am I. She said I could call her again once we've colonized Mars! I haven't experienced a drought this long since the Dust Bowl back in nineteen-and-thirty.

Caption: Hi, Rudy. What the -- ?! Don't rush me, Uncle Mort. Today's Special. Latte + 1hr web. $12.50. What'd I say? You asked how last night's date went. You wanted to know If we hit it off … If we had a goodnight kiss … if there'll be a second date … If we went for long walks on the beach ... If we're getting serious ... if I've met her parents ... if I've thought of how to propose ... if she's said yes ... if we've moved in together ... if we've discussed giving you grand-nieces and nephews ... All I said was "Hi, Rudy." Family can always red between the lines. What the -- ?! I am not looking too thin! What the -- ?! Take that back, I am not getting wrinkles.

Caption: Where's my nephew, Rudy? Haven't seen him in weeks. He just texted me a minute ago. He said "the elf army let us go. I ran into my old buddy. Russian contact arranged boat to motherland … Please feed all my Sims." If that's not his idea of guy-code for "don't bother me, I'm getting lucky," he's probably had a stroke or something. Oh no, then it had to be a stroke!

You're not supposed to say "exactly"? … or vaguely. Well … you do realize you just said both "exactly" and "vaguely." No I didn't. I said nothing. You did not say "nothing.: I'd have noticed.

Caption: Where's my nephew? I haven't seen Rudy in days. He's in jail. He called me to bail him out, but I just can't. What?! What did he do? Did he steal something? Did he hurt someone? What did my nephew do?! And how could you leave him in jail?! Why didn't you bail him out?! He broke into the mayor's house and rooted around his underwear drawer looking for a rare "Pokémon Go" character. Say no more. Please.

Caption: I don't know why you're surprised. It's totally in character for your nephew. This is just going too far. Not really. Rudy has an obsessive need to be part of anything he sees the rest of the country doing. I have it on good authority the internet based its "trending" algorithms on Rudy's brainwave patterns. I'm officially running for president as a Republican! ... and I'll be voting for Clinton!

Caption: Your nephew's in there asking for a raise, Mort. House of Java .net Cybercafe. In my day, we didn’t ask for a raise, we DEMANDED one! The year was nineteen and twenty-two. I was just a lad. I had my first job as a track-whacker. A WHAT? They'd strap us kids to the undercarriage of the trains and give us a hammer. Our job was to whack in any loose nails before they could derail the train. This was before the child labor laws, of course. Of course.

Caption: Rudy, I'd like to apologize. For what, Uncle Mort? I'd like to say I'm sorry for leaving you a world full of hatred and war. I'd like to say I'm sorry for leaving you polluted skies and rivers. On behalf of my generation, I'd like to apologize for leaving you with such a mess ... BUT I CAN'T BECAUSE IT'S ACTUALLY MY PARENTS' FAULT!!! That speech has been handed down through seven generations of our family. Take good care of it ... Someday, you'll give it to your own nephew. I usually like less sarcasm with my cereal.
