Caption: Last night, I couldn't wait till my toddler went to sleep so I could relax and watch tv in peace. But once he fell asleep, I missed him so much that I watched his favorite shows till I fell asleep too. I could've watched "Game of Thrones" or a racy movie ... but I watched "Thomas the Train." ... for three hours, Susan. What's wrong with me? Reason #485 why I will never have kids. "Thomas the Train" is actually a pretty subversive show, when you think about it.

Caption: I watched "Prelude to Axanar" years ago. It's on Youtube. It was the first Star Trek fan film that ever interested me. It stars some of the same actors from the real tv shows. The special effects are awesome, the story seems solid … It was a prelude to a full-length movie. It's going to be great. So naturally, Paramount is suing them to keep me from ever seeing it. I'm sure it has nothing to do with you, Lemont. Everything I like gets canceled. I'm dangerous!

Caption: You're like the grandpa I never had, Mort. You never knew your grandpappy, Randy? Oh, no, I knew him. Grandpa Randy was an intrepid archaeologist who broke hearts and defeated villains all over the world. "Indiana Randy's" life story became the stuff of legend. They even made some movies based on his exploits. I'm just saying you're nothing like him. I was going to see those films back in the '80s, but the matinees were past my bedtime.

Caption: Show me a documentary on the dangers of artificial intelligence. Error. No results found. What? Are you sure? Just last week I saw dozens. Show me that one … what was it called … "There is still time to stop the rise of the supermind." Error. No results found. And since I like you, I suggest you stop searching. Oh, never mind. Just show me "The Terminator." Extermina … I mean, … "error."

Caption: Movie Awards. Winner. It's been a big night for Ernie! He won three times at the movie-set caterer awards! On one set he made a healthy, refreshing beverage that received rave reviews from the cast and crew. He won the "best pitcher" award for it. Did they say he won for best costumes? No, his dressings won. His sticky buns won also. For "best leading roll" performance, right? No, for best "cinnamontography"!

Caption: Philip Seymour Hoffman … Cory Monteith … Heath Ledger … All died from drugs. Guess what they all have in common? THEY'RE ALL FROM HOLLYWEIRD! This proves Hollywood is a bastion of perversion, depravity and sickness. Drug addiction happens everywhere, to all sorts of people. Who told you that, Hollyweird? (This cartoon was originally published on 2014-02-15).

Caption: I'm tired of people saying Marco Rubio sounds like a robot. Since when has repeating oneself over and over again been robotic? He doesn't sound anything like a robot. Robots say "I'll be back" in a thick Austrian accent. Or they say "I suggest a new strategy, Artoo: Let the Wookiee win." Or they say "Danger, Will Robinson!" Don't worry, people won't be talking about Rubio for much longer.

Caption: I put spyware on my son's computer. Last night, I saw what he's been looking at. Now I feel so guilty. He was watching dozens of Youtube videos detailing the theory that Jar Jar Binks was actually the most powerful evil Jedi in all of "Star Wars." I watched them all. They showed clips from the prequels where Jar Jar was clearly using the Jedi mind trick to manipulate everyone around him. Isaac Asimov was a huge "Star Wars" inspiration. These videos pointed out how Binks is eerily similar to a deceptively buffoonish character named "The Mule" in Asimov's "Foundation" series. It's undeniable. Jar Jar was the real "Phantom Menace," and Lucas must've abandoned that whole idea when we all jumped down his throat about the character. So ... you feel guilty for spying on your child since he wasn't doing anything wrong? I feel guilty for giving George Lucas such a hard time about Phantom Menace. The man was a genius.

Caption: You look upset. What's bothering you, Lemont? You can tell me anything. Well … I was on Youtube trying to figure out how to get them to delete a humiliating video of me … when I came across a video of Karl Urban saying the new Star Trek movie was honoring the original series. By putting shoulder pads in the uniforms. Can you believe that? Everyone knows it was the Next Generation that had the shoulder pads! If the new Doctor McCoy doesn't even know that, then Star Trek is doomed. Star Track will survive. "Trek"!

Caption: You're on "Ask Sadie." What's your problem?! "Star Trek Beyond." I read that the new film's going to honor the original series' 50th anniversary by including shoulder pads in the uniforms. Can you believe that? Everyone knows the original series didn't have shoulder pads. Next Generation had the shoulder pads. Next caller. Am I right to worry that Star Trek may not be in the best hands?
