Warner Brothers put several whole scenes from "Justice League" up on Youtube. Wrong move. Ruins the mystery. To market a movie like this, one must be a mystery. An enigma. A reserved figure who gives the impression of a beast with rippling muscles lurking just below the veneer of a gentleman. Wait ... isn't that last part from your self-help book "Randy's Guide to Becoming a Mysterious Man"? You'd be surprised at how universally applicable these principles are, little buddy. Anyway, I feel like I've already seen the whole movie. Bored now.

Your sign says the show starts at noon. Does that mean after the cola ads, the candy ads, the popcorn ads, the blue jean ads, the video game ads … the running shoe ads, the computer ads … the turn off your cell phone ad and the coming attraction ads? But when does the movie start? What movie? |

At the ad agency … I'm telling you, it practically sells itself. Just listen … Rush Limbaugh, outspoken opponent of health care reform, was rushed to the hospital with heart trouble. Maybe he was faking his symptoms … just like Michael J. Fox. First off, your "Rush Limbaugh Heart Trouble Jokes" CD is the DEFINITION of a "short shelf life" item ... But it's comedy gold! |

Guess what! I saw (insert celebrity name here), the famous movie star, going into a restaurant downtown! Ohmigod! Isn't she splitting up with (insert celebrity name here), the famous pop star?! She's a bitch!! Did you see her last video? A bomb!! Well, I hear she's been seeing (insert celebrity name here), the famous T.V. star!! Like ohmigod!! Does that mean he's gonna divorce (insert celebrity name here), the famous spokesmodel?! Would you two shutup about celebrities?! Celebrities aren't real! They're consumer products! Their "lives" are packaged for mass-consumption to get you glued to the "popular media" and exposed to ever more advertising! And you're emotionally involved with them than with your own real lives and relationships! Sheesh! Ohmigod! Wasn't that Nina (tm) the famous cartoon character?! I hear she's dating Elvis the famous postage stamp! |

Bad news, calling today's conflicts "World War III" tested poorly with our focus group. The consensus was that the third installment of any trilogy is just a lame knockoff of the first two. Return of the Jedi, Superman 3, Terminator 3… If you want to really inspire people... The focus group preferred "The First Intergalactic War." Works for me. |

Director. Ernie, your ad for your new movie doesn't mention that everyone in the theater "boos" during it. That's why I say it has "surround sound"! And people can't wait to leave the theater! So I say, "It'll keep you on the edge of your seat!" The audience throws objects at the screen! "Stirs passions"! C'mon Ernie, one critic said he was never as happy as when this movie finally ended! That's why I call it "The feel-g0od movie of the year". |
