Caption: … So I said Yeah, I self-publish my own books. You know why? … Because it's not 1950 anymore. By self-publishing I keep all the profits. And since most people buy online, I can sell just as many books as a traditional publisher … So stop mocking for it. Bruh ... that was no way to talk to your momma.

Caption: I wrote an article about how people are purchasing followers for their social media accounts. There are bot factories that grab selfies we post to social media, along with out names and email addresses … and they use all our info to create and sell these fake follower accounts. A lot of famous people with millions of followers actually bought most of them. Did you write that 'cause President Trump mocked you for only having 20,000 Twitter followers? Totally unrelated.

Caption: It all started during the Republican National Convention, night two … Dr. Noodle … The night they put Hillary Clinton on fake trial. They found her "guilty" of everything from Benghazi to being the servant of the devil. I was just waiting for them to find her guilty of giving the empire the location of the rebel base on that ice planet. I couldn't stand her before, but all of the sudden, I became very pro-Hillary, and felt like I had to see her become president at all costs. It's only natural to want to come to someone's defense when you think they're being treated unfairly. I painted the hair on my Trump bobblehead blond.

Caption: You know what I like to do? I like to mock California. It's just so very ridiculous. It's got everything I love to complain about. Hollywood is there, for one thing. Where else would there be an entire industry of people who spend every day making things up and pretending to be other people? Nobody ever stops to think about how psychotic that is. Say what? If cities were people, Hollywood would be the guy you had to call the cops on to make sure he didn't hurt himself. All those explosions in every other movie are an obvious cry for help.

Caption: The state department is trolling Isis terrorists on Twitter. What? Some Isis butcher posted a photo of American troops abusing a woman, and the state department pointed out it's a clip from a Hungarian movie. Then the terrorists made fun of the state department's punctuation. I still don't think that's proof Isis is losing. I'm an expert in online arguing. People only resort to punctuation-mocking when they're losing.

Caption: What were you thinking about when you went to bed on 9/11? I was praying to wake up the next day and it'd all just be a dream. What were you thinking about when you went to be on 9/11? I was hoping we'd rise to the occasion and honor the dead, the survivors, and the heroes ... by failing to rebuild the Twin Towers, by curtailing our own civil liberties, by calling each other "un-American," by torturing prisoners, mocking the French, invading the wrong country, and having our airports inspect kids' and old people's underpants. I like to have realistic hopes. I don't think sarcasm's allowed on 9/11 day.

Caption: Dear "Sir" … I am very offended by an "article" you "wrote" months ago, "mocking" people who express "derision" by putting quotation marks where they don't "belong". Who are YOU to "judge" where we "can" and "can't" put quotation marks? What makes your way of "expressing" yourself any more "correct" than my way". And don't cop out and "say" something lame like "the rules of the English language." That's the last time I check my -email. I await your pathetic "response." "Sincerely," Earl W.

Caption: I'm about to speak before a roomful of 2,000 people. 4,000 eyeballs staring at me, judging me, mocking me. But I'm holding it together. I'm not nervous at all. Anyway, thanks for listening. Now leave a message after the sound of the beep. Beep.

9. Comic Strip Darrin Bell Candorville 2010-04-04 mock
Cartoonist(s): Darrin Bell
Comic/Cartoon: Candorville

Caption: Dear Moron … I am offended by your latest "blog" where you wrote that you're tired of people being offended about everything. It's very insulting of you to imply that people who take offense do so because they're just oversensitive. The easily offended play a vital role in our society and we're tired of being persecuted and mocked. I believe it was Martin Luther King, Jr. who dreamt of a day when the easily offended could sit at a lunch counter without being disturbed by any inappropriate menu items. Everybody co-opts everything. I demand an apology on behalf of all offended Americans.

Caption: I know it's anathema to my profession … But there's an emerging school of thought that fear of public ridicule is a major factor in maintaining sanity. Try posting your delusions to your twitter account. You'll be shocked sane by the resulting mockery. How many people constitute an "emerging school of thought"? That's not important right now.

Comic/Cartoon: Candorville
Viewable Date: 2009-09-08 Pub. Date: 2009-09-08

Caption: I need to tell you the ground rules. Whatever you say is just between us, 'cept for two things: (1) If you say somethin' stupid and (2) if you disrespect me. C-Dog's incredibly bad advice. 50¢. In which case I mock and berate you and put it all on YouTube. Let me see your credentials again. I warned you.

Caption: Would you repeat that insult? I don't want to misquote you. Huh? I've been documenting every moment of our relationship on my blog. Every time you yell at me, mock my dreams or crush my soul… I write about it. And every time I compliment you, encourage you or console you... I write about that too. Y' know, so my readers can get both sides of the story. ...Our relationship has readers? And Google ads.

Caption: Where's Clyde? He's been acting weird. Dunno. Haven't see him all day. It makes no sense. …In other news, having failed to stop people from using the N-word with their mock N-word burial, the NAACP is ratcheting up their campaign… …by hunting down every man, woman and child who uses the N-word gratuitously. Oh.

14. Comic Strip Darrin Bell Candorville 2005-11-30 mock
Cartoonist(s): Darrin Bell
Comic/Cartoon: Candorville
Viewable Date: 2005-11-30 Pub. Date: 2005-11-30
Image Number: 12356
Caption: I'm very offended that you said your friend Clyde is "inarticulate" just 'cause he says "*@#$?*" every other word. You obviously know nothing of the way black people talk. Cuss words are a beautiful expression of black culture. But you mock that 'cause you're a bigot. Are you aware that you're white and I'm black? Why do you ask? No reason. Now lemme explain to you how black people talk.
