Caption: I found an old copy of "Gourmet" magazine in the O'Brian's recycling. They stopped publishing. Gourmet. But I'll have a dynamite recipe for the potluck. All I see are parties of handsome youthes at rustic tables. Gourmet. They're all attractively enjoying the good life. None of them seem to have jobs. Gourmet. Perhaps that's why the magazine went out of business. Definately no one from our block.

Caption: Two Weeks Ago: America is celebrating a mother who was caught on video hitting her son in order to keep him from joining the Baltimore riot. Why is that, Chuck? Well, Chad, it's a well-known fact that black teens need to be beaten to make any lesson sink in. If she'd just taken him by the hand and marched him home, and lectured him privately, it wouldn't have registered in its brain. Um ... I mean, in his brain. Plus the rest of us wouldn't have gotten to enjoy it.

When that middle-aged brotha Walter Scott got shot down in the back like a dog, an' it was all caught on video … I thought "this time, ain't NOBODY gonna say the black man deserved it." I told you, whenever the police shoot an unarmed black man, stay off the internet. How anyone s'posed to stay off the net THAT often?

Caption: I saw this video brothas be postin' on Facebook. It show three country brothas sittin' on they porch. The first brotha ask the other two, "If you goin' 80 miles per hour, how long does it take you to go 80 miles?" Them other two grown-#*$ men sit there an' think real hard about it. One of them sure it'd take eight hours. The other one more optimistic. He say it might take six. Then eight-hour brotha say he want the formula so he can get his calculations right. Do the question for you is, given all them variables, how long would it take three brothas to decide to make us all look bad on Facebook? Probably less than eight hours.

Caption: This just in: People can get used to anything. Scientists at Tonga Technical Online University have discovered that 81% of Americans become accustomed to horrendous news after being repetitively exposed to it for more than six weeks. Participants in the study were fed with regular updates on ISIS, Ukraine, missing airliners, the measles outbreaks, Bill Cosby and Brian Williams. 100% of participants were initially shocked. By week two, 95% had progressed to being appalled. By week six, a whopping 87% were either bored or had completely forgotten about the story that had outraged them just weeks earlier. Fix your attention span, America! By week 7, 0.01% had either moved to Syria, become pilots, refused to vaccinate their kids, started eating Jell-O pudding pops, or mistakenly "remembered" they were at Gettysburg.

Caption: I can't wait till the Entourage movie comes out. Me an' my boys are going to see it opening day. You and your "boys"? What "boys"? You don't have any "boys." Of course I've got "boys." Every main character is surrounded by a group of friends. They may make fun of each other, they may get each other into trouble once a week. But they're always there for each other. I'm the main character in my life. Not really. "Main characters" make things happen; they don't just sit back and let things happen TO them. You're more of an extra in your life. Every time I post a selfie, I get at least 30 "likes." Would an extra get anywhere near 30 "likes"? I stand corrected. You're not an extra. You're just the cameraman.
