Then when your other creditors saw the large balance you put on our card, they thought you were a credit risk and lowered your credit limits. ... And since that was OUR FAULT, it's wrong for us to lower your credit limit just because other creditors lowered their limits. One second .. Ok, I've restored your high credit limit. Please accept our apologies. Wow, I didn't expect y-- Hey, Big L ... Here's all the money you ever loaned me since we was kids. With interest. NOOOOOOO!!!!

During the Great Depression, there was a deflationary spiral in which lower prices resulted in lower wages and lower demand which resulted in more price declines. Deflation would be a good thing! Checks wouldn't bounce as much! If Mister Buck is put in charge, the next bailout will turn into a deep-water salvage operation!

Comic/Cartoon: Nina's Adventures
Viewable Date: 2008-10-15 Pub. Date: 1988-09-01

Caption: Sometimes Nina feels pressured by the people around her. Like right now she feels pressured to bank at the politically correct bank rather than the more economical, high-interest paying bank, because that bank is politically incorrect. WHAT?! You bank at the politically incorrect bank?! Don't you know how insensitive that is?! But ... But they pay interest! Well, she seemed like a good person, but she doesn't go the politically correct bank! Maybe in her next lifetime .... She's terrified to think that someone might find out she sometimes chews sugarfree grape bubble gum! Not only is that not politically correct, but it's also not macrobiotic, not karma-free, not natural and non-biodegradable! She also feels pressured to start digging astrology immediately. Like wow, man! All your planets are in Taurus! You're like totally earthy! Uh-huh. You don't say. Imagine that. Nina's biggest worry is that she's not merely different from the people around her; she's actually less spiritually evolved. She doesn't go to the politically correct bank, but only because she's a lower life form ... Perhaps in a millennium of two.....
