Caption: It all started when I spanked my two-year-old son. He was out of control. He was hitting and kicking and spitting. I tried everything. I tried a timeout. I tried redirection. I tried bribery. But when he threw a clock at his baby sister's head, I realized I had to do something drastic. So I swatted him once on the behind. Very lightly. For the rest of the day, he pointed at me and said "You don't hit me. That's bad. You say you're sorry." And I couldn't even argue, because that's exactly what I always told him to tell someone if they hit him. Part of being a parent is becoming comfortable with being a hypocrite. Is two too young for military school?

Caption: What's wrong, Lemont? I always ask myself one question when I cover a politician in my own party. "What would I think if this person were in the opposing party?" People are hypocrites, Susan. We tend to give a pass to people in our own parties. But I'm a journalist: I have an obligation to be candid. Even if it causes people to stop visiting my blog. So ... you're thinking of writing an article about Clinton? That's an awfully strong grip you have there.

Caption: What do you mean we're hypocrites? 'Cause we get why Israel use violence, but we act like we don’t get why Palestinians do it too. Israel been under siege since it started. But the Palestinians been livin' under military occupation for about as long. America started a revolution over some tea bags, so we shouldn't act like we don't get it. Israel has a duty to defend its own existence. That's why they both wrong: 'cause they both RIGHT.

Caption: I'm tired of people comparing Occupy Wall Street to the Tea Party. The two movements couldn't be more different. The Tea Party protests were peaceful gatherings of conservatives who resented big government picking winners and losers and controlling every aspect of our lives. OWS protesters want more government regulation. We tea partiers want government to leave us alone! Plus, these protests are violent. But all the violence is coming from the cops. Hey, they didn't get government permits. Government did what it had to do.

Here to condemn the practice, we have President Bush from last month. Bob, the DemocRAT Congress is spendin' like a teenager with a credit card. This earmarkin' of theirs is irresponsible an' wrong. Here to argue IN FAVOR of earmarks, we have President Bush from earlier that day. Bob, I obviously see nothin' wrong with earmarks. After all...I just stuck in $15 BILLION of 'em, includin' $9 million for my daddy's projects, an' $24 million for Laura's. Bob, me from earlier today is spendin' like a teenager with a credit card.
