Caption: I wrote a very realistic screenplay that subverts all the usual Hollywood cliches. We don't see the protagonist in a moody bar when he feels down; we spend an hour watching him fall asleep all alone in front of his TV … and when he tries to stop a wedding, it takes him half an hour to find a good parking spot, and he misses the whole thing. We watch him circle the block for half an hour. Cliches are cliches for a reason.

Caption: The Dog Movie Reviews … There's nothing remotely unpredictable about anything that occurs in this movie. - Frank Scheck. Hollywood Reporter. That's hardly a recommendation. No, but given the movies you like … it hardly disqualifies it either. Tyler Perry is a genius!!

Comic/Cartoon: Candorville

Caption: Women and men are coming forward and exposing all the powerful guys who've sexually harassed them. Its making me feel awfully worried and guilty. Dr. Noodle. Why? I'm worried that at any moment, a victim is going to come forward and ruin my life. That's natural. Think about it this way, though. If whoever it is you abused does come forward, you'll have a chance to come clean and clear your conscience. Huh? I've never abused anyone. I'm confused. I've already lost "House of Cards." This seems to be so pervasive, I could lose everything I spend my life watching. What'll I lose next, "Walking Dead"? "Man in the High Castle"? ... If they take "Big Bang Theory" my life'll pretty much be over. Just curious: Have you ever heard the phrases "get a life" and "it's not about you"? Hence the guilt.

Image Number: 164674
Caption: Hey boss, in light of all that's been happening in Hollywood and journalism, I just want to thank you. For what? Well, for a long time now, you've underpaid me, overworked me, threatened to replace me with undocumented workers or robots, made me an unwitting accomplice to money laundering for foreign oligarchs ... but you've never sexually harassed me. So for that, boss, I thank you. Only a fool would engage in an unprofitable ... I mean ... immoral ... activity. You're such a wonderful very bad man.

Caption: Not everything is about race, Clyde. You tryin' to tell me Hollywood don't have a "magical Negro" problem? You ain't noticed all the movies where a black character come outta nowhere an' has no purpose at all other than to teach white people how to solve problems? Yeah, but that's not racial. There are plenty of characters of all races who have no purpose other than to teach people lessons. And let's not forget Yoda. Confusing the issue, you are.

Caption: For obvious reasons, our source demands anonymity. She maintains that neither she nor any other cow jumped over the moon, and that it was all faked on a Hollywood soundstage. More cowbell.

Caption: Philip Seymour Hoffman … Cory Monteith … Heath Ledger … All died from drugs. Guess what they all have in common? THEY'RE ALL FROM HOLLYWEIRD! This proves Hollywood is a bastion of perversion, depravity and sickness. Drug addiction happens everywhere, to all sorts of people. Who told you that, Hollyweird? (This cartoon was originally published on 2014-02-15).

Caption: Hey Mike, what're you painting? It's a portrait of one of my favorite Hollywood actresses, Sophia Loren. I love Sophia Loren! But it doesn't look like her. It doesn't??? No, and an artistic portrait should resemble the subject. Not necessarily. I've heard - real art does NOT have to match the Sophia.

Caption: I'm going to be a Washington, D.C. lobbyist. So? I'm going to be Lindsay Lohan's press secretary. Too much work. I know you're toying with me! Associate producer for "Jersey Shore." Now you've gone too far! Patter writer for the Oscars.

19. Comic Strip Darrin Bell Rudy Park 2015-05-23 Hollywood
Cartoonist(s): Darrin Bell
Comic/Cartoon: Rudy Park
Viewable Date: 2015-05-23 Pub. Date: 2015-05-23
Image Number: 127264
Caption: I'm tired of 3-D movies. When's Hollywood going to come out with 4-D? 4-D? That's when they combine what's onscreen with physical effects inside the theater. If you see a field of flowers onscreen, you smell flowers in the theater. If it's set in Hawaii, a toucan flies onto your lap. If there's an on-screen kiss, an usher smooches you. You've got my attention.

20. Comic Strip Darrin Bell Rudy Park 2015-05-06 Hollywood
Cartoonist(s): Darrin Bell
Comic/Cartoon: Rudy Park
Viewable Date: 2015-05-06 Pub. Date: 2015-05-06
Image Number: 126576
Caption: There's nothing awesome to see at the movies these days. What're you talking about? Avengers 2 just came out. I know. It's been out for like an entire weekend. It's old news. The next blockbuster is "Mad Max," and that's not out until the 15th! Hollywood is totally neglecting the entire May 4th-to-May-15th window! That kind of gaping hole is unconscionable. You can always watch "In the Name of My Daughter."
