Caption: When are you going to teach your son about death? Never. If your toenail falls off, have you died? If you lose a foot to a grizzly bear, have you died? If a wild kangaroo rips off both your arms, have you died? If you can survive without parts of your body, who's to say you don't survive without the whole body? You can't just avoid having hard talks with your son. I don't want him to survive dying and then call me a liar.

Caption: Ask Sadie. Actual questions from actual readers! Send your questions to asksadie@rudypark.com. Dear Ask Sadie, I have encountered a "close-talker" at work who always stands about five or six inches from my face while talking to me. Unfortunately, this close-talker is my boss. How can I get her to stop doing this without shooting my career in the foot? - Charlotte in Austin. Excellent question. It takes me back. The year was 1938. I spent months tracking down the elusive grizzly bear of the Ozarks. There was no proof he existed. But there were tales told by the campfire of a hapless lumberjack cornered in his tent one night by a ten-foot tall beast. He was awakened by a blood-curdling growl. When he opened his eyes, he was peering deep into the wide-open, razor-fanged yap of the grizzly, just two inches away. The grizzly inhaled and as luck would have it, the lumberjack's enormous beard was sucked into the monster's gaping maw and tickled the roof of its mouth. As the grizzly giggled uncontrollably, the lumberjack made his escape. And what were we talking about? Ask Sadie at asksadie@rudypark.com

It was heart-breaking, cuz it reminded me of my own daughter who also ran away to join terrorists … instead of staying home and ordering the brand new cotton flavored grizzly bear treats from tinyurl.com/bxn8Lm6. The pope is right, Capitalism is getting out of control. Twitter™. Oh, how I loved my daughter.

Caption: Have you noticed all those commercials about people who pee too much? Yeah. That doesn’t seem like a good sign to me. When a whole country can't hold its bowels, something's wrong. Now I know what you're going to say … You do? It's the bladder that controls that. But now's not the time to nitpick; Not when we're sucking down fake sugar drinks and "chicken nuggets" that for all we know are made of ground-up grizzly bear toenails. Next time I say "Why so quiet?" just say "No reason." There's a reason the whole continent's incontinent.
