Caption: Existence is cruel, Rosencrantz. And that is because of the nature of energy. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, so it must be stolen. For one creature to gain it, another creature or a plant must lose it and perish. To birth a star system and all its worlds ... a nebula must die. For a man to gain the good side of the sidewalk crack, his partner must lose it. Give it back. Your quarrel is not with me, Rosencrantz. It is with existence itself.

Caption: Why do you always get to sit on that side of the sidewalk crack, Tyrone? Maybe that's the good side. Maybe that's why you're happier and more successful than I am. Maybe if I sat there, my entire life would be different. I have just as much right as you to experience the other side of the crack. You ever think "that's the first time in my life I've heard that sentence"? (This cartoon was originally published on 2012-05-31).

Caption: I've thought about how I could someday retire in a way that'll let me buy things, travel and enjoy life. Really? Good for you! I thought, the way the economy's going, I'll never be able to actually retire. Huh? So I might as well act like I'm retired now, so when I'm old I'll at least have the memories of my pre-emptive retirement. I see you've also decided to have pre-emptive dementia. I like to look at the bright side of total economic catastrophes.(Cartoon originally published 2011-04-21 and 2013-03-14).

Caption: I've got some great costume ideas for Lionel and me. We're going as. I don’t wanna hear this, Big L. Your costume choices ain't never been no good at all. It's just depressing. You’re just jealous because my costumes were always more original than yours. That's why I got more candy. You mean like the time you went as a big rock? I was a horta! I even painted Spock's handprint on my side to show where he did the mind-meld. That made no sense when we was five, it make even less sense now, fool. Whatever. You can't argue with more candy. They threw candy at you so you'd leave. You was disturbing, bro.
