No. No. No. No. No. You said you'd take me on a trip. This is just a stupid café! Sweetie, use your imagination. Inhale the scent of French food. Picture quaint architecture. Think of this strange little waiter as a colorful street performer. Practice speaking in the local tongue. Le petit man is quite strange. Leave me out of this! Caption: Are you going to finish your pie? Why? You want the last bite? Not at all. I wouldn't put the gelatinous crud in my body, especially since some café worker probably sneezed on it. You have no idea what sort of ingredients they put in restaurant food. Do they even wash the insects here? I like washed insects. Extremely grossed out.

Caption: Remain calm, we need to talk. We don't want to alarm you. Run for your life! Oh boy. The economic news is not good. It's apocalyptic. We both lived through the depression. More like barely survived. We're seeing parallels -- lack of government investment, no-tax policies ... Fire, disease, bad cellphone coverage ... You're enjoying this too much. you said I could. Spend cautiously, Rudy. Have a back-up plan. Sell your gadgets, buy canned goods. Oh boy.

Caption: Ask Sadie. Dear Sadie, I'm going on a raw food diet. What kind of diet do you recommend? You rock my world, girl! - John in Portland, Oregon. That's the grossest thing I've ever heard. How so? He's going to eat naked?! Maybe if he has a body like mine it would be okay, but ... stop. That's not what he means by raw. Explain, nerdy sidekick. According to Wikipedia, it's mostly a vegan diet. Wikipedia? Crowd-sourced virtual encyclopedia. I don't understand anything being said today!! Rock my world is good or bad? Opportunity here to really ruin her day. Ask Sadie (and maybe get answers) at asksadieshow@gmail.com.

But Rudy put Hooper in the GPS and they wound up in Hooper, Utah. Or, rather, 100 miles outside of Hooper. On a dusty road. Without gas. Or snack foods. And no cellphone service. Or internet access. Or useful tools of any kind. Obsolete technology ... except a manually-powered bullhorn. You and you @#$% GPS got us into this mess!!! Can you use that thing to call for help?

Caption: What can I get you? Coffee? Tea? Sandwich? The mackerel mocha sounds lovely. What's in it? The usual. Chocolate. Soy milk. Mackerel. Yes, but is the mackerel farm-raised or from the sea? Ocean. Atlantic? Pacific? Indian? Arctic? Antarctic? I'm not sure. Oh. Ok ... well what's the mackerel's mercury content? Negligible, I'm sure. Ok. Was it exposed to any chlorine? Or copper sulphate? Or malathion? Was it treated with kindness? Was it read stories and sung to before bedtime? Yes. Never mind, it sounds iffy. Just give me the usual aspartame-trans fat medley.

Caption: What's your question for Ask Sadie? Who do you thin has the best fries? McDonald's or Arby's? That depends. Which one is still fried in cattle grease? I know one or the other of them caved in to the anti-clogged-arteryists and switched to vegetable oil years ago. Health-fetishists ruin everything! Health isn't bad. Health is like everything else, too much of it is unhealthy!

Caption: How can you be so heartless?! I have half a mind to tweet about this! Pardon? A bus full of tiny orphan broke down down the hill. It was on the news. Yet you didn't offer them any food. How would this look for your café if you totally ignored them in their time of need? If you'd like to prepare some tuna croissants, I'd be more than happy to haul them down there for you. Not falling for it.

Caption: Do you know why I love Star Trek, minion? We called me in at 2am to talk about this? It's because it's a lefty-liberal utopia. They've eliminated scarcity. There's all the food and shelter anyone could ever want, so there's no more need for capitalism. They flat-out say there's no such concept as money in their society. And yet we've seen them buy things. With money. Plenty of times. It's absolute proof that people never truly have to live up to the ideals they espouse, and that's always been an inspiration to me. Now get back out there and remember, the customer is always right!* Service with a smile.* Providing a quality product is its own reward.* You're a very good man.*

Caption: Armstrong, an unmarked truck just delivered a pallet of mystery meat. Turkey. It doesn't look like turkey. It looks more like some sort of dehydrated pigeon. What's it matter? If we slap it in a sandwich, smother it in "gravy," and label it "turkey," customers won't know the difference. Wait, did you just think quotes around the word gravy? "no."

Caption: It turns out celiac disease is thousands of years old. Yet I still never heard about "gluten" till recently. What do you think that means, Randy? It obviously means big wheat has some explaining to do. They must've altered the grains. I don't know. Maybe it's because our environment has gotten cleaner. So since our antibodies haven't had to work as hard, they've gotten weaker. HOJ. If there's one thing you'd know about, little buddy, it's atrophy. We should have our own science show.

Caption: When do you think they invented peanut allergies and gluten allergies? "Invented"? As a child, every kid I knew snorted half a kilo of peanut butter and jelly on a daily basis. And every kid I knew had an IV that pumped chocolate chip cookies straight into their veins. Nobody ever had a "gluten" problem ... And no, they don't have IVs like that, I was speaking metaphorically. Don't get my hopes up like that.

Caption: You're on "Ask Sadie." What's your problem?! Donald Trump. I had a stroke last year, and I'm totally housebound. Meals on Wheels brings me food every day … so I don’t starve. When I voted for Donald Trump, I was under the influence he was going to help us, not take my food. Translation: You thought he'd cut other people's programs, not yours. Maybe you can chew on that for the next four years.

Caption: I found out something last night that just totally destroyed my entire worldview. The burrito, as most Americans know it, did not actually come from Mexico. Or maybe it did. The internet is of two minds about the issue. The point is, if you can't count on the burrito being Mexican, you can't count on anything. I have something to tell you about Chop Suey.

Image Number: 152861
Caption: Rudy, would you mind ordering your uncle his usual oatmeal? Why can't you just order it? Because I don't want to be stereotyped as the old guy who always orders oatmeal. In my day, I ate a wide variety of foods. Every day it was something new and adventurous. It's not fair that I be judged only on what I eat in my golden years. You order the oatmeal, I'll order the Cream of Wheat, and we'll switch when no one's looking. Too adventurous for me.

Caption: How do I love thee? Let me count the ways … Open Mike Night Presents Sadie Cohen. I love thee to the depth and breadth and height my ladle can reach … When feeling hungry for the crunch of crouton and ideal lettuce. I love thee to the level of every day's most quiet need ... by cheesy bread and chicken wing. I love thee freely, as men strive for right. I eat of thee freely, and then, at four, 'tis goodnight. O Sizzler salad bar, how do I love thee? I'm hungry.
