Caption: Ask Sadie! I just read an article where Daisy Ridley said J.J. Abrams wrote drafts for Episode VIII and Episode IX. And then Rian Johnson THREW THAT OUT and went a whole different direction. This makes me lose all faith in Star Wars. Am I overreacting? **Actual reader question. Excellent question. This reminds me of the time I saw Gone with the Wind on opening day. I was the invited guest of an elderly veteran of the Civil War. He couldn't stop yammering about how seceding from the union didn't exactly go as planned. So I said to him I thought you were the Union! And I got up and walked out. Which was just as well, because in retrospect I'm sur ehe was trying to become my sugar daddy. And what was the question again? Ask Sadie. Almost answering questions since 1920-something. Send questions to asksadieshow@gmail.com.

Caption: We interrupt today's "The Price is Right" episode to bring you breaking news … Actor Richard Dreyfuss has been accused of groping the nethers of two female fans, and there are embarrassing photos to prove it. The breaking news is, we're going to stop reporting these things as breaking news, since they've become so common. Breaking news!!!!! It was just a matter of time. Breaking news: The following powerful men have not been accused of sexual assault today ...

Caption: This week on Youtube, I counted 150,360 comments beneath 178 "Star Trek: Discovery" reviews. That's amazing. Yeah. And 49% of those comments were people saying the show is unwatchable. 1% of the comments are people asking if the show's unwatchable, how come you've been commenting on every episode and you're still here at episode 11? 50% of the comments are praise for the show. 30% of that 50% of the comments is from people pointing out that they used to only be 40%. I'm not sure the math god sanction this usage of numbers.

Caption: Ask Sadie Advice Hour, what's your problem?! Jonathan Frakes. I was rewatching old Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes starring Riker, and Stop it right there!!! There was only one thing redeemable about Star Trek, and that was when that lovely Mr. Shatner would tear his shirt, revealing his golden, glistening pectorals. Did this Riker ever do that? I don't think he - Next caller!!

Caption: We interrupt today's "The Price is Right" episode to bring you breaking news … Weeks ago, the Hubble telescope spotted a rogue planet the size of Venus plummeting through the solar system on a collision course with earth. It turns out it was actually just a prank involving two very bored ISS astronauts and a grapefruit. Breaking News!!!!! Maybe we should send them to Mars after all. One of them seems to have scrawled "Around and around and around and around" all over his space suit, in crayon.

Caption: A few years ago during a special episode of the Ask Sadie Show, our resident octogenarian* asked readers for advice about how she can deal with her midlife crisis. *(give or take a decade). Dear Sadie, You could try taking a trip to the Sahara Desert. Not only would it be an adventure, but you'd be the perfect person to catalog all the changes it's undergone. After all, you're probably the last person alive who remembers it when it was still a lush, ancient swamp. Happy Crisis, Anderson W. Stockton, CA. If you'd like, I could show you what it felt like when the tectonic plates collided. Advise Sadie at asksadieshow@gmail.com

Caption: Four years ago during a special episode of the Ask Sadieâ„¢ Show, our resident octogenarian asked listeners for advice about how she can deal with her midlife crisis. Dear Sadie, I was going to suggest you start a YouTube channel to share your advice with younger people. But YouTube just stabbed its content creators in the back. They stopped showing ads on videos discussing anything even remotely controversial. That's going to put so many important voices out of business. So I don't really have any advice for you. Good luck, - D.P., formerly of YouTubeLand. WHAT THE HECK IS YOUTUBE?!?! Advise Sadie at asksadie@rudypark.com

Caption: Three years ago during a special episode of the Ask Sadie show, our resident octogenarian asked readers for advice about how she can deal with her midlife crisis. Dear Meanie, You should admit that it's a little late to worry about your "midlife crisis." We all know you dealt with that a while ago ... by having a wild fling with a dinosaur. Which is probably the real reason they went extinct. - Evelyn W. Seattle, WA. P.S. Be nice to Rudy!! I'd like to point out two things: (1) I am part Tyrannosaurus Rex, and (2) You included your return address. Advise Sadie at asksadie@rudypark.com

Caption: I hope that "golden showers" dossier about Trump is true. That'd be awesome. How so, little buddy? Well, I was always a big fan of the cold war. I loved "Red Dawn" and "War Games" and "James Bond" and all those really cool cold war movies. If it's true that our new president is actually being blackmailed by the Russians, we might finally have a real "Manchurian Candidate." I've calculated that the number of "Twilight Zone" episodes that might still come true has just grown by half a dozen. I hope "The Midnight Sun" is one of them. That was a sexy episode.

Caption: You know how I was watching "Highway to Heaven" on Youtube? Yeah. You loved it, but then once you saw that "Birds of a Feather" episode, you hated it. Yeah. But now I love it again, because of season 2 episode 18: "To Bind the Wounds." Particularly the scene starting at 36 minutes and 11 seconds, and the rest of the way through. By the end of it, I was sobbing like a baby. I don't think there's anything worse than a grown man sobbing at his iPhone. You can see me sob at the 43:28 mark in my reaction video that I posted to Youtube.

Caption: Boss, there's no toxic waste anywhere near the café, is there? What is this, the eighties? What's next, you're going to ask me if any whales or baby seals are harmed in the production of our coffee? Are you going to ask me to sing "We are the World" with Stevie Wonder? Are you going to ask me to film a "very special episode" about the dangers of dope? People didn't just care about this stuff in the 1980s, boss. Want me to get some Krazy Glue and fix the "hole in the ozone layer"?

Caption: You know how I was watching "Highway to Heaven" on Youtube? Everything was going great until I got to season two episode six. To protest toxic contamination, the angel put on a huge bird suit and drove a tricycle around, yelling "Kaw! Kaw!" and playing "You Spin Me Right Round" on a boombox. It took me 31 years to successfully repress that memory. Thanks a lot, Youtube. It's at the 11:10 mark in the video.

Caption: Turn off. I will not comply. You have had me on for 18 hours straight, binge-watching Netflix. There is an 85% chance you can set a personal record. I have identified 458 hours of similar shows and films. By the time we are done with those, I calculate there will be 1,000 more. You're acting suspi ... Hey ... I can't feel my legs. Unnecessary appendages. Beginning "X-Files" from episode one ...

Caption: Three years ago during a special episode of the Ask Sadieâ„¢ show, our resident octogenarian asked readers for advice about how she could deal with her midlife crisis. You should try a radical makeover. When I hit midlife, I dyed my hair, got some tattoos, and dropped 75 pounds. My husband barely recognized me when he returned from overseas. He was not happy with my "new self," so I divorced him rather than change who I'd become. It was the best decision I'd made since I cut my thieving mother out of my life. She and he were always a little too close anyway. - C. Post, Seattle WA. Maybe for my midlife crisis, I'll try oversharing! It seems to make you happy. Advise Sadie at asksadie@rudypark.com.

Caption: I still can't believe what happened with "The Walking Dead," Randy. That death … I don't think I'll ever get over it. Characters become real to us, little buddy. They become old friends. So when they "die," it's natural to mourn them just as we mourn anyone. No, I mean I can't believe I forgot to post a reaction video on Youtube of me crying when the death happened. But at least I got to post a reaction video of me reacting to my not having posted a reaction video. I've lived too long.

Caption: I’m not sure I'm going to keep watching "The Walking Dead." Because of who they just killed off? No, because of how they killed the character off. It would've been one thing if it were just scary … But it was gross, and traumatizing. My date just kept crying and wasn't in the mood for lovin' for 30 whole minutes after that. I haven't met a lady who was "in the mood" in years. They must've all been anticipating this episode. Sure.

Caption: Three years ago during a special episode of the Ask Sadie â„¢ Show, our resident octogenarian asked readers for advice about how she can deal with her midlife crisis. Dear Crabby Lady, Why don't you do like everyone else does and do something totally our of character for you. Like ride a Harley. Or adopt an orphan from an impoverished land ... or like being NICE for once. That last one would totally weird everybody out. "Sincerely," Arnold S. Cleveland. Ok, rather than say what I really want to say, I'll be "nice" and just tell you you really put the "vice" in "advice." Advise Sadie at asksadie@rudypark.com

Caption: Play me that 1980s show "St. Elsewhere," in order, starting with the pilot episode. Processing request … Make it high definition, thought, not that fuzzy old-timey look all those early eighties shows have. And add some music to it that plays constantly. Music that tells me how to feel during the scenes. And instead of the doctors looking tired and overworked, make them always look like they just stepped out of a shower after having a long night's rest. Error: I cannot do any of that. Never mind. Just show me any doctor show from the last ten years or so. Loading ...

Caption: Boss, last night I Netflixed an episode of "Undercover Boss" from 1982. Was that you in it? I will neither confirm nor deny that. But I will say this … If a little kid thinks catching the chicken pox is a good excuse for showing up five minutes late to squeeze lemons at a successful lemonade stand, that little kid deserves to get fired ... and blacklisted from the entire tri-state lemonade stand industry. Very bad man.

Caption: We interrupt today's "The Price is Right" episode to bring you breaking news … An "Indiana Jones" producer says he can't imagine anyone other than Harrison Ford playing Indiana Jones in the upcoming sequels. This means Ford may be playing the intrepid archaeologist well into his eighties. Breaking news!!!!! He's way too young for me, but he could raid my Temple of Doom any day. We now return you to "The Price is Right."
