Caption: Any mail? Nope. We used to get a lot more Christmas cards. A lot of people don't send actual Christmas cards anymore. Some folks send those digital e-cards now. They're cheaper and better for the environment, I guess. And, of course, some of the people who used to send us Christmas cards are dead now. Excuses! Excuses!

Wild plants often provide the most readily available foods. Insects and small game may also provide nourishment. And sometimes you'll get lucky and find a batch of freshly baked brownies.
