Caption: Campus. Professor Frump is the most respected faculty member here. All the other professors want to be noticed by him. This semester he's teaching three classes. But for some unknown reason lots of students are dropping the second one. He asked why this is happening. Hoping to impress him, sociology and economics scholars rushed to present him with their theories. I guess he should have been more specific when he questioned with the middle class is disappearing.

Caption: Sometimes economists come to counter-intuitive conclusions. That happened when Professor Ernie did a case study on a small city. They have a thriving top-notch medical center which was adding lots of surgical staff. Firms prepping diamonds for jewelry and movie-editing companies are relocating to the city. And the sawmill was adding a shift. Now hiring. His seemingly illogical conclusion now makes sense. With "cutting jobs" they saw increased levels of employment!

Caption: How'd you pick classes in college, dad? It was pretty much hit and miss. I took Econ 101 just to meet requirements. But the professor was so great, it became my favorite class. Meanwhile, I tried for 3 years to get into history of pop music and ended up hating it. These things need ratings. Like, "avoid professor McBoring! 1/2 star."

Caption: What's that? A letter from grandma and grandpa. They sent me their "seven tips to succeed in college." 1. Dress nicely. No torn jeans or sloppy shirts. 2. Take home economics. It will serve you well. 3. Type your reports on quality paper. This impresses. 4. Join math club. Good boys are in math club. 5. Have plenty of stamps and stationery for letter writing. 6. Wear a watch to keep track of your classes. 7. Read a newspaper every day. Hm. I'd say they are a tad out of touch. Grandparents usually are. But their list is SO sweet! Kind of ... touching out-of-touchness.
