Caption: Hello, you've reached Dubble Cross Health Insurance. This is Ryan. How may I hinder you? Hi, Ryan. I just got a bill form you for $850. It says it's for "professional services." But I'm not with Dubble Cross. I have Czar Health Insurance. That's right, but it says here you used the emergency room the same week you switched from us to Czar. So when they billed your visit to us, you weren't actually covered by us. So you have to pay us back. What're you taking about? I used the emergency room on the last day of December, and I'd already paid you my dues for December, so I was covered! Our billing cycle ends the day before the last day of the month, sir. Since when, Ryan?! Since we realized people wouldn't know that.

Caption: Have you tried giving up coffee cold turkey. Once. It was December 25th, 1991. It had rained that morning and dew glistened on the flowers a passerby was carrying. A dog barked seven times. A distant siren wailed for 43 seconds. The ceiling light bulb flickered every 257.9 seconds for seven hours. I take it that day didn't go very well. My dog scratched itself for exactly 5 and ½ minutes before falling asleep.

November 6th? Confusing. Daylight Savings ends. The 13th? No, unlucky. 20th? My dog died that day. December 4th? Parents' anniversary. Geez it's hard finding a perfect date! I can give you a week off starting December 11th. Perfect! We'll take it!

Caption: Remember how I came in on December 31st and ordered a lardo-size fudgsicle sugarbomb mocha with butter sprinkles? Well, give me another one of those. Since it's something I originally had last year, it'll be like I had this one last year too. So it won't violate my New Year's resolution. The ancient art of Time-Shift-Fu. I'm a tenth level grand master. I studied under Moe Yin, the master who created "it's not really 'cheating' if it's with an ex."

Caption: Did you know that Solange Knowles married a guy who's 22 years older than her? So what? That's not unusual. When I was a young lass, much older gentlemen courted me all the time. Albert was 40 years older than I was. Winston was 45 years my senior. W.E.B. was half a century older than I was. You should've seen the time they all ran into each other at my house. Albert scrawled E=MC2 on Winston's forehead with the last of W.E.B.'s mustache wax.

Caption: I thought you'd be more excited because of all the extra power the republicans have now. Those communists? If you want to see me excited, check back with me on December 7, 2037, at 6:42 AM. According to my calculations, that's when the cabal of industrialists who REALLY control the world will dispense with the pretense of "government." We'll just turn on everyone's secretly implanted compliance-chips. You calculated that? Way back when I opened my first lemonade stand. It's in my business plan under "endgame."

Caption: Merry Christmas, Tyrone. How dare you! Everyone knows Jesus wasn't born in December. Everyone knows the roman pagans celebrated SATURNALIA every December 17-23, and "Christmas" was the church's attempt to win those pagans over to Christianity by promising them they could still PARTY every December. You, sir, are engaged in a WAR ON SATURNALIA! I want to get a Christmas tree. That's just a ripoff of the SATURNALIA HEAD-ON-A-PIKE!

Every December, there's a lot of sand erosion until these two land masses are connected by just a narrow strip. Of course, Frank. There's even a song about it! It's beginning to look a lot like isthmus.

Caption: Mesoamerica, 3114 B.C. Your story about how you destroyed the world on December 21, 2012 was incredible. Publishing it under my name has made me rich beyond my wildest dreams. I told you so you could warn the world, not so you could get rich! … And it was 2010, not 2012. "2012" has a better ring to it. I never should've signed that release tablet. I think you'll be very happy with your cut of the royalties.

Caption: It's December, and time for us to discuss the top films of the year. Today we look at documentaries. There were a couple films about our food supply. One investigated the poultry industry. As expected it's a chick flick. Another looked at the dried fruit business. It's a date movie. A film chronicling the construction of a skyscraper is enthralling. Riveting! And the biggest surprise was a film about a prison break -- We found it to be fun entertainment! It's pure escapism!
