It's only December first and all I've eaten today is fudge and candy canes. By Christmas day I'll be so fat I won't be able to squeeze through the front door. That's it! No more fudge or candy canes!! Who wants sugar cookies? Over here!

Have you tried giving up coffee cold turkey? Once. It was December 25th, 1991. It had rained that morning and dew glistened on the flowers a passerby was carrying. A dog barked seven times. A distant siren wailed for 43 seconds. The ceiling light bulb flickered every 257.9 seconds for seven hours. I take it that day didn't go very well. My dog scratched itself for exactly 5 and a 1/2 minutes before falling asleep.

The longest day of the year coincides with the summer solstice. In the northern hemisphere this occurred on June 21st at 10:07 GN+MT. He's a scientist but I disagree with something he said. The day you get your driver's license renewed or when you flight is delayed over and over or December 24th for a child - these could be the longest day of the year. The summer solstice is just on the day with the most hours of sunlight. |

I've been reading a lot of ancient history lately. That's good, little buddy. The distant past is pretty fascinating. You're preaching to the choir. Before every date, I like to revisit the pax romana. The point in time when all the squabbling ceased and all of Europe got down to some good lovin'. What's your favorite time in ancient history? March 28th, 2015. that's when I retweeted a great tweet I'd written back on December 5th, 2014.

On Santa's website, did you read the "terms of agreeement" or just click right through it? Home address, e-mail address, gift preferences .. How do we know Santa isn' selling all of our personal information? Is it necessary to buy a membership in some sort of Santa Club to ensure delivery by December 25th? Do I need to use a promo code to make sure I get all the presents I asked for? I preferred the old days when kids only worried about whether they were on the naughty list or the nice list. |

Brad, this isn't something we've really talked about, but after we're married, I'm thinking I'd like to keep my last name. So you'll stay Toni Louise Daytona instead of becoming Toni Louise Degroot? Kafe Kablooie. Kafe K. Yes. Even though my parents died when I was young, I want to keep their name - and them - alive. Is that ok? Of course. Actually, I should take your name. Brad Daytona sounds way cooler than Brad Degroot. Trust me, you're more of a Degroot than a Daytona. Yea. Wait - what does that mean? Want to design Toni's wedding dress? You can submit your drawing(s) for a web vote. The winning design will be worn by Toni in her December wedding. Rules and details at LuannFan.com. |

If we want to save money to get our own place, I should just move in with you and TJ for now. Well, our house is roomier, and it has a yard for Shannon. It's settled then. I'll live with you boys. But let's wait until December. You want to wait until we're married? Not really, but it'll take that long for TJ and I get the place clean ... |

Hello, you've reached Dubble Cross Health Insurance. This is Ryan. How may I hinder you? Hi, Ryan. I just got a bill form you for $850. It says it's for "professional services." But I'm not with Dubble Cross. I have Czar Health Insurance. That's right, but it says here you used the emergency room the same week you switched from us to Czar. So when they billed your visit to us, you weren't actually covered by us. So you have to pay us back. What're you taking about? I used the emergency room on the last day of December, and I'd already paid you my dues for December, so I was covered! Our billing cycle ends the day before the last day of the month, sir. Since when, Ryan?! Since we realized people wouldn't know that. |
