Caption: There's nothing sadder than Christmas decorations the day after Christmas. It's like the party is over, but they forgot to go home. I love the Christmas season. It's such a magical time of year. All of the dreary aspects of reality are suspended for a while. But then suddenly it's December 26th and we have to go back to the real world. Sigh ... ! Caption: Oh, Shoot! We got a Christmas card from the Chattertons. We didn't send them one. So send them one. I can't. I don't have any left. I used the last one already. And I'm out of stamps, too. I'll have to run to the store and buy a card, think of something clever to write in it, and then stand in line at the Post Office. But even still, they're going to know I'm only sending it after getting their card. It's so embarrassing. Who are the Chattertons anyway? I don't know. I thought you knew them. Oh, I'm sorry. I put that one in your box by mistake. That's a shame. I was really starting to like the Chattertons.
