Caption: Any mail? Nope. We used to get a lot more Christmas cards. A lot of people don't send actual Christmas cards anymore. Some folks send those digital e-cards now. They're cheaper and better for the environment, I guess. And, of course, some of the people who used to send us Christmas cards are dead now. Excuses! Excuses!

Caption: Do you know there's still Christmas glitter all over the house? That evil stuff breeds and migrates! If it would stay on the ornaments and cards, fine! Bit it's like the glue doesn’t work and the glitter just falls off! Glitter used to be flakes that you could vacuum. Now it's microscopic dust that permeates everything - furniture, carpet, clothes, even the pores of my skin!! I HATE glitter! Glitter is litter! Dad has glittophobia. Guess I shouldn't mention my new eye shadow and body cream.

Caption: Excuse me, I bought this 2012 calendar here last week. But it's defective. It only has 355 days in it, so I'd like my money back. No, this isn't defective. This is the Mayan calendar. Four thousand years ago the Mayans predicted that the world will end on Dec. 21, 2012, so the calendar stops there. We'd better send our Christmas cards early this year.
