Caption: Wouldn't it be cool if we could live in the Middle Ages, Randy? We could roam the countryside on horses and carry swords. We could hang out in taverns and drink ale, maybe earn enough coin to hire a hero … Then we could go on a quest. Maybe slay some golems. I think it's a real sign of intellectual maturity that we haven't even mentioned maidens yet. Real Middle-Ages maidens would eat you for breakfast.

Caption: Were I but a gossamer figment of they father's illumination … that I might reach for the golden moment … the singular image of that sweet glimmering night … then upon my breast I would beseech thee, do not speak kindly, but carry a dagger and consign thyself to havoc. I'm not convinced that you're quoting Shakespeare. I suspect you're stringing together a bunch of random words. Knaves! Fiends! Avail thyself of house and bitter rain and sleep no more.

Caption: Have you tried giving up coffee cold turkey? Once. It was December 25th, 1991. It had rained that morning and dew glistened on the flowers a passerby was carrying. A dog barked seven times. A distant siren wailed for 43 seconds. The ceiling light bulb flickered every 257.9 seconds for seven hours. I take it that day didn't go very well. My dog scratched itself for exactly 5 and a 1/2 minutes before falling asleep.

Caption: Every time there's a huge massacre, the anti-massacre snowflakes try to take away my arsenal. Don't they know what country they're in? This country was founded on guns. The laws that forbid the carrying of arms … disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes ... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants ... for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. - Thomas Jefferson. Thomas Jefferson never said that. And even if he had, you'd be resting your argument on the opinion of a slave owner. There they go playing the slavery card again. Well, you have to admit, if a guy thinks it's ok to treat people like property, that guy's judgment is suspect. That part of his judgment only applied to back then. The gun part applies to right now and forever ... because reasons. You know what he thought it was ok to do with his slaves?

Caption: Do you remember the very first time YOU got mad at someone? I don’t. It's one of those millions of "firsts" that are lost to time. Do you realize that everyone carrying around iPhones and Androids at all times has changed that, for the first time in human history? Whatever. I still don't think your son will ever appreciate your keeping a video of you accidentally dropping him in the toilet. (This cartoon was originally published on 2014-02-24).

Caption: It all started when my son sat up for the first time. All of a sudden, he didn't need me to prop him up on the couch. And then when he was seven months old, he started crawling. Suddenly he didn't need me to carry him where he wanted to go. Then when he learned to talk at 16 months old, he didn't need me to figure out what would make him happy. He'd tell me. Then when he went to day care at 22 months, he didn't look to me for all his answers. Now he had other grownups to ask. It's like every single day, I become less and less important. Only if you're doing your job right. I was hoping to hold off on the potty training till he was 144 months.

Caption: Did you know that, with very few exceptions, police officers in Britain don't carry guns? That's not a myth? It's true. And most cops want to keep it that way to preserve the sense that they serve the people rather than the state. Cops in Britain think that the public not feeling oppressed protects them better than guns would. Everyone has health insurance ... almost no one gets shot ... they got rid of slavery 22 years before we did ... Maybe those guys are onto something.

Caption: So what if Hillary Clinton kept her work emails on a private server? She said it was "a matter of convenience." She didn't want to carry two devices. That makes sense. She thought combing through all her emails to separate personal from work would be more convenient than carrying two phones? I could comb through thousands of emails in my sleep. This conversation will not end well.

Caption: You ever think about how what you have in your hand totally changes how people see you? If you fling open someone's door at work or school, they think you're trouble. But if you're holding a walkie-talkie they think you're there to protect them. If you're standing on a rooftop, people think you're taking in the view. But if you're holding binoculars, they think you're a pervert. I told you not to bring those. Pretty sure that guy yelling "ivoy a llamar al 911!" wasn't a good thing.

Caption: This better not be Indirectv. This is Bryan, with Indirectv. You haven't paid your satellite TV bill in two months. I made payment arrangements with you guys two weeks ago. You said I have till next month to pay, but you guys keep calling me three times a day, every day, anyway. I sent you a certified letter telling you not to call me ever again. Do you know what that means, Bryan? It means that according to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, you owe me up to $1000 for each time you've called me since then. I'm sorry, I was away from the phone. Can you repeat that? Uh ... never mind. Carry on. We're going to keep calling you every day till you pay your bill. Oh, no. I think your constant calls are close to working. I probably can't take more than a couple more weeks of this harassment.

Caption: I spent all night Googling a car. It had to seat seven, so it could carry my kids and my in-laws. Dr. Noodle. The wife and I don’t have any kids yet, but we have one on the way … … As soon as we get married, that is. I haven't met her yet, but date-a-chick.com is a great place to meet ladies. ... And I'll sign up for that site as soon as I'm approved for a credit card. Did I mention you'll have to pay me cash upfront? I can do that, as soon as I get a job.
