Caption: Your negative calorie vitamin water does not cause weight loss. That's false advertising. So you say: House of Java.net Cybercafe. Here's what I say I'm a small American businessman trying to make a living amid brutal economic times only to be rousted from my home by strong-armed federal regulators who hate liberty. Oh stop it. You look like Stalin. Call CNN.

Caption: Sadie, how can I convince my husband that a vacation is worth paying for? Excellent question. In my day, vacations were an essential component of a successful marriage. I would get two weeks a year to don a bikini, sit on a tropical beach amidst coconuts and oiled-up cabana boys, and recharge my yelling voice. And he would stay home working and have two weeks to live in dread of my imminent return. It was a win-win situation, really. What were we talking about again? Um ... nothing. Thanks.

Caption: I had a very rewarding week. Weird. What? You sound almost happy, satisfied. HOJ. So strange for someone with such a meaningless, dead-end existence to find amid his personal rubble a nugget of joy. Defeat snatched from the jaws of a vague sense of contentedness. It's almost enough to give me hope.

Caption: I read that article you wrote about how DC bringing Joss Whedon to "lighten up" the Justice League movie is endemic of America's refusal to confront harsh realities. How could you, Lemont? What, you don’t agree? Remember how upset America got when Batman V. Superman didn't have enough jokes amidst all the carnage? No, I mean how could you write anything about the philandering cad after his wife published an article about how he cheated on her for 15 years! Don't say anything if you know what's good for you. I think this is a debate I can win.

Caption: Greetings from the alternate universe where America lost the revolution. What was that, now? Oh, I see. You're in one of the universes that hasn't yet discovered inter-universal travel. I shall explain … Please do. America lost. In 1833, Britain freed the slaves, one of whom had a daughter who grew up to invent the transistor 90 years earlier than in your universe. We had desktop computers. A moon colony, and the Benjamin Banneker orbiting telescope had identified over 3,000 extrasolar planets, all by 1947. So when the alien ship crashed at Roswell, we all knew it was real, especially since a crumpet farmer named "Mac" Brazel took a selfie amidst the wreckage and uploaded it to Facebloke. Long story short, using the ship's zero-point-energy transdimensional drive tech. We've developed a booming alternate-universe tourism industry. Anyhow, I'll have tea and shepherd's pie, please. That's Monopoly money. No, that monocled man is King Thurston III, our beloved monarch. Nice try.

Caption: "Supermodel Cyrisse D'Fontiel shares her beauty secrets." I like Cyresse. She's totally honest. So what are her secrets? "We met Miss D'Fontiel amid the gardens of her exotic private retreat in Kailua. In the warm, fragrant sea air she sipped rare da hong pao tea and revealed her beauty secrets." " First," she said, "be born with natural beauty: perfect features, ideal skin, luxurious hair, etc. Next, have lots of money to buy costly products.
